This guy has been my favorite player on the defense ever since he picked off that pass and took it to the house against Purdue in 2008.

Plays with emotion and fire every single week. He does a great job tipping passes and is excellent in blowing up bubble screens.

Add in that blocked punt for a TD. More reason to love the guy.

All our corners did a great job today, they were good in coverage and automatic when they needed to tackle. I can't even keep track of the guys I'm really happy for after this game, but Blanton's got to be up there.

I agree. Gray Gray was a bad *** today also, and Harrison with the sweet INT and some good hits also.

Hopefully Blanton and Gray can build off this year and become true shutdown CB's next season. And I would add that Chuck Martin is a hell of a DB's coach.

All of our DB's played really good today. That's the first time in forever that I've seen our defensive secondary play that well for an entire game.

the thing i love about this game is the fact that the guys who haven't lived up to their billing really played way above their head.

they got over the hump, so-to-speak. like kelly said after the game, they had to forget the negativity that people have said about them and play hard like something good is going to happen (i'm paraphrasing).

it was special to see guys step up and finish a game off by not allowing the opponent to get back into the game. i'm proud of our boys and what they did yesterday.

Agreed. And that hump had a name: Tenuta. This year Harrison and Blanton (who often looked lost last year) are looking confident and playing well. Credit to Diaco and Chuck Martin as well as the players who have really turned it around.

Just to let you guys know apparently Gray has already been approved for his 5th year.I know it's Blanton's thread but thought I would pass that along.
