overreation, much? I'm a browns fan and I hate the steelers with all my heart. he's just upset that he can't cheapshot anyone anymore. the hit on the browns' massaqoi was definitely illegal and he deserved a penalty for it too.. what a baby.

I actually agree with him, The nfl is the nfl and its known for tough players making tough plays. We all know he wasnt trying to hurt the guy but its the name of the game and sometimes hits happen that seem dirty....75,000 dollars is way to much for that hit

I disagree with you...I don't think the hit on Massaqoi was illegal; Harrison would have hit Massaqoi in the sternum, but Massaqoi ducted and it ended up being a helmet to helmet hit. I think you are a little bias on that hit. Now the hit that Meriweather put on Heap was an illegal hit and a cheap shot.

Look this is football not baseball guys. If a player can't play at full speed and has to think about the consequence of a hit, that player is putting themselves in danger of getting seriously injured by not going full speed.

I believe the play he got fined for was legal. I believe they should get suspended and fined when, and only when, they aim high as in the direction where the opposing player will be hit. When they target their opponent above the neck, or when they lead with their head first and their shoulders pinned back. They can lead with the shoulder and aim only as high as the top of the shoulder and it be legal. If the opposing players position is altered previous to the contact then that isn't the fault of the player creating the contact, nor should they be repromanded for it as Harrison was.

I am all for the players safety, but Harrison's hits and those types of hits are gonna happen every week, no matter the rules. Just so happened that those two were on two smaller dudes and from an absolute monster. It's a violent game, w/ big, fast, mean men running around trying to be violent, injuries are going to happen. That being said, anything illegal should be treated w/ fines, suspensions, and ejections. When I played my goal everytime I ran on the field was to "hurt somebody", "make them feel me", but never injure them, I think that is most player's mentalities, injuries like these usually can't be stopped in this sport, imo.

youre right i am biased, but that isnt the reason i think this hit was illegal. TJ Ward git fined for a similar hit that i also agreed was illegal, and he plays for the browns. I still think that Harrison's was illegal. defenseless receiver, leading with the helmet..

i don't think he deserved the fine, but i do think he deserved a 15 yarder. in fact, the browns were penalized on that play for delay of game after the center kicked the ball out of bounds thinking that massaquoi fumbled instead of dropped the pass. he didn't deserve the fine, and certainly not a suspension in future cases, but he did deserve a penalty
