Today, our second friendly against the cocaine capital of the world. We drew Poland 2-2 on Saturday, and then we have our last friendly against South Africa on Nov. 17 before the Gold Cup and CONCACAF qualifying. I'm pretty hooked on it, and I can't wait for the Women's World Cup next year, where I know America will have a solid showing.

Anyone else here follow the world's sport? I got hooked after I got to my first unit in the Army. One of the squad leaders in my mortar platoon was from Ecuador. My buddy and I had only been there a few months, but we were squared away privates, so we got to sham out of work, go to our barrack's room, and watch the World Cup with our squad leaders. They all lived off post so they had to go to someone's room. They apparently liked hanging out with us, so we got very lucky, while the rest of the platoon did layouts or whatever bull**** got tasked to them. I just wanted to let everyone know how I fell in love with the sport. I thought it was douchey when I was younger, but I love it now. I still have a lot to learn, as I don't have the playing background like I do with football to draw on.

There is quite a big soccer following on this board. Not huge, but bigger than I expected.

I'm a huge fan. I started playing when I was in my 20's, and I've been playing in an over-30 team.

My favorite clubs are Fulham, Arsenal, and AC Milan. Favorite national teams are England and Japan.
