Yea, I agree, it is a great event. Ton of youth in this years matches.

Rory is stirin' the pot with Tiger. I respect his confidence but that last person to stir the pot with Tiger was Stephen Ames before the Accenture Match Play Championship in 2006. Ames basically said "anything is possible with the way Tiger is hitting the ball lately." Tiger responded with beating him by at the end of the 10th hole.

When a reporter asked if he was aware of Ames’ comments after the match, Woods cut the question short. “Yes,” he said.

And what was your reaction? “9 and 8,” Woods said simply

Maybe this will finally get Tiger going--for USA's sake at least.

Woke up to catch some of this since I am off today. The conditions on the course are insane. Water in the traps. Water on the greens. Water in the fairway. Lift clean and place in the fairways so that places an even greater premium on putting the ball in the fairways. The course is long as it is and with the rain and wind and soft fairways its playing really long. They're squigy-ing the greens before the players putt. I have it on mute so I can't hear any commentary on why they're playing right now: guess #1- its never going to stop so they may as well just play. Guess #2- TV playing a role.

I do know 1 thing- its definitely raining harder in Philly than in Wales right now. US down early in 3 of 4 matches early. Ton of golf to be played. Go USA!
