To RDU & Syria: I agree with what you say. My post wasn't about that. It was to indicate [straight from the horse's mouth at Virginia Tech], that Michigan recruiters play that "legitimate" academic rating card when talking to some recruits' moms. Whether the coaching staff at Michigan "honors" that academic excellence elsewhere in the University had nothing to do with my comment, and I'm sorry if that was not clear in the writing.

It's incredible how one Michigan fan could arouse so much interest in a group of Irish faithful. He is,(for the most part) stating facts, and we shouldn't hammer the guy for it. Believe me, I hate Michigan. Not the academics, school, or the town of Ann Arbor, but the football team deep in my soul.
Go Blue, you're a quality poster here.
God I hope we you crush your team with complete anger next year!

I think you were way too nice grading the OLB! They are slow, not athletic, and get caught out of position time and time again. I know I have said it before but can we PLEASE put some beef on our safeties/corner and move to OLB. I would much rather have a quick 220 OLB then the 250 pound wanna be DE at OLB!

See Harrison Smith last year...

Look at the guys Kelly is recruiting for OLB.

Ben Councell - 6'5" 220+
Clay Burton - 6'3" 230+
Anthony Rabasa - 6'3 230

Big guys with size. There is a mold that Diaco/Kelly think will fit this scheme best.

This isn't a question of speed, it's a question of positioning and getting off blocks. A safety or corner would get gobbled up.
