I think BK is on track with this decision, but I don't like that it wasn't evident in
practices that the two backup QB's couldn't run the same offense as Crist.

What to pack for Irish? New plan for backups - NCAA - SI.com

It is frustrating that they aren't ready to run the complete offense, but he only had nine months to prep them, and since Crist is a first time starter, he got all the reps. Like he said, he's at ND, he has to win now. He didn't have the luxury of taking it easy and splitting everything up, he wants to win. I agree with you that it should have been realized the backups weren't ready, before finding out in such dramatic fashion on Saturday.

Good article, I still can't believe that two of our quarterbacks threw the ball out of the endzone in non interception situations.

Becuase of people like us, he has to win now and Crist is his only chance and ours, so I place no blame on BK "having it his way" and giving Dayne pretty much all the reps to at least have one QB who can run the complete system. He didn't have much of a choice.
