Kids act like this because they are coddled all their life. All the hangers on and BS that goes with it. Much like Forcier at Michigan, sorry guys there are better players in front of you. Don't like it? Step it up, bury your nose in it and grind harder.

If it is true, good luck to him. I would never wish a kid any bad luck, only hope that he has the smarts to know when he has it good.

I read his facebook. I don't see exactly where he's talking about transferring? Just isn't happy about not playing.

YIPPEEEE!!!! I didn't play this weekend!!!

Is that the post everyone is hoping for? Either he uses the motivation to get better or he transfers looking for an easier path to PT. Only one of those paths leads to PT on Sundays. Silver lining, maybe he is closer to PT than we think if he is really upset about not playing.

I don't do Facebook and if I did I wouldn't be friending kids I don't know, so I can't get first hand context of what is being posted. I do know I wouldn't like anyone close to me posting anything personal. Pick up the damn phone and call someone who truly cares about you.

Freshmen, athletes or not, frequently hate their freshman year. It's not a cake walk folks. How common is it for kids to go home and do nothing BUT bitch and moan about how rough it is and how miserable they are at ANY college.

Hang in there Lou, its worth it.

I hope he sticks it out. It's been hard keeping D-Line recruits at ND the past few years. I kinda laughed watching the UF game the other day when Trattou and Omar Hunter were starting, and right next to each other. As far as homesickness, we heard the same thing from T-Rob, and he seems fine now.

In case nobody already knows this, Facebook is really dumb. It's basically a place where people can vent on opinions, feelings, raise virtual crops, or deal virtual drugs. I wouldn't take anything on Facebook seriously. Unless they start charging to use it. Then I would join one of those groups "I'm NOT using Facebook for $4.99 a month." That's where I draw the line, you Facebook suckahs.

Nothing in this life worth doing is easy. Stick it out and good things will start to happen.

I absolutely hated my first semester at ND -- I was homesick, didn't know anybody, and wanted to go back home. But I'm glad I stuck it out, and I wouldn't trade my ND experience for anything in the world.

So let's cut the guy a break. First-year blues are normal.

It would be much easier, to be sympathetic, if he wasn't whining about not getting to dress. "I'm a superstar!! Why aren't you people treating me like one?!?!"

Welcome to life, kid.

I have a few points on this subject.

1. Following 18 year old dudes on facebook, kind of creepy. :)
2. If the only 2 quotes were like "my mind is in another direction now....i hope im making the right choice!!!" which could mean about anything, why is there a thread about it. I mean maybe he ordered a pizza, and now he wants a Chicken Sandwich.

Facebook isn';t lame. I use it to keep in touch with friends who I don't get to see much these days. Swap kid stories and talk about stuff in our lives.

I however do not participate in Farmville Wars or whatever the hell game is the flavour of the week. Nor do I post my status every 2 seconds. Or join random stupid groups.

The one thing that gets on my nerves more than anything is when people assume and dont even know what the hell is going on. Anyways, I honestly think the socks have little feet and they jump out of the dryer.

As much as i would love to see louis stay at Notre Dame, he has to do whats best for him and his family. I hope this is nothing but I don't know what is going on is his life, only he does. Good luck louis no matter what is going on and no matter what you do. GOD bless

We all have all been there...I just hope he talks to his folks and close friends and cooler heads prevail. He could be a special player at ND....

I have thought that same thing. But why is it always just one? I have never lost two socks at the same time. I have a whole drawer of single socks that I keep just in case the match turns up.

Back to Louis, I hope he makes the decision that is best for him and thinks beyond just football.

People should stop taking his facebook status so seriously. Remember when we went through this with his recruitment? Everyone thought he was decommitting because of a few facebook posts.

He'll transfer to UF and then they'll have 3 of our former commits on the DL. Urban must have a magic potion to lure big, young boys to his team. Yeah, that sounded weird.

You all need xanax

If I was held to everything I posted on facebook, I would never be employed... Maybe a restraining order or two

They already have three: Trattou, Hunter and Martin.

Apparently, Louis has a history of being "funny" on facebook and playing games with people. I'm not sure if this is the case, but it's possible.

This really sucks if it's true. He's a beast, the kind we need on the line with Aaron Lynch and co coming in next year. Hope he takes a deep breath and realizes that these things take time, and he'll be balling before he knows it. Would HATE to see him go.

Hopefully it's all just facebook b.s. I don't even have a facebook page so I don't even know how it works really, but I hope he's just either venting or clowning, and he's cool...

Yea first off I don't have a facebook, but I have heard there are some BIG TIME creeps on facebook, such as guys that comment on every status even though it could have absolutely nothing to do with football or ND. Unless you know these kids don't bother talking to them, is what I think, these kids are in college why the hell do you want some creeper commenting on your wall or whatever it's called. Some of you guys just need to find something better to do and stop reading into these kids statuses so much. Being an ND fan and hearing there are creepers on facebook pisses me off, like come on.

As for Nix I feel bad for this guy he seems like a nice kid and a potential great player, but it's also on him that he came into camp at 355 lbs if he came in at 315 I think he might even be pushing Ian a little bit. A lot of kids are homesick their first year away it's different for them, as much as I want to say on to the next one, I think it would be tough cause this kid seems like a really good kid. Just leave this kid alone and let him sort everything out, he can make his own decision he does not need people bombarding his personal page telling him what to do.

You're right. Facebook has its good points and I use it for the same things with old friends etc. I was joking to make the point that people are going overboard.

Nix was dressed so all of those rumors of him not dressing need to stop. Nix, # 67 is shown walking into the tunnel at halftime. His comments could apply to study hall, school, or anything else in his life. Go back and watch the game on NBC and you will see Nix in uniform.

hey vern everybody that sees louis' facebook posts see them because louis allows them to. see the thing is you have control over who gets to look at your posts and respond to them so louis could easily rid himself of all those "creeps" if he was so concerned about them. but he wont. so no disrespect, but in the end i guess you could say you are behaving in the same manner as all those alleged "creeps" by making comments/judgements when you realy dont know all the facts.

Louis has to earn his spot like everyone else. If he isn't in playing shape yet, he'll have to yet there first. Maybe he needs a play or two to dangle the carrot in front of the horse but I'm not sure thats the way to go. He is in a great situation, he just needs to buckle down and lean on his teamates for help or to talk.
