Hey i got an answer, but for others who are new (like myself) this is what my esteemed colleague NeuteredDomer had to say
To send someone a "rep" either pos. or neg, (which adds either green or red dots under the selected poster's name), click on the icon near the bottom of his info next to the post. It allows to add to person's rep, and you click either "agree" with post, or "disagree," then enter a reason.

Look to the left of the posting window, below your team icons. Run your cursor over the second icon from the left. Dialog pops up "Add to GreatDayne's Reputation"

I have no idea what the icon symbol is but it's "Reputation", Reps.

And No, it won't allow you to rep yourself. ACamp wore that function out.

just another little thing, if you click the icon (its two balance scales) on a post of your own, you can see how many rep points you have, for example i have 1342 pts.

Two balance beams? I still can't make that out even with the suggestion. Looks like a mutated snowflake to me.

Run your cursor across your green reps and dialog magically pops up declaring the "Great Dayne is a glorious beacon of light".

That feature was added as part of the Obama Stimulus package so that everyone would feel good about there posts even if they're vapid.

There have been a few posters who have generated a lot of little red boxes. They don't post here anymore.

Hilarious. That's exactly what I thought. Or maybe some wadded up paper or a white flower.

I never knew about running the cursor across the reps bar. Interesting.

Neutered is very generous with the reps (as long as you're not saying something dumb). I like his shoes! Plus he has a hot step cousin who is a fainting goat. She's very hot!
