Soooo 2012 it is then? (I need to know how long to go in to cryogenic sleep)
Don't break out the chamber yet: Looks like BK has the most favorable schedule ever; a recruiting gift in the '08 class and with Manti; and has made an incredible improvement in team speed and conditioning. I'm telling you it's not just Kool-Aid. It's Kool-Aid and logic.

I am looking forward to watching a team Fight like all the Notre Dame teams did when I was a kid. No more confusion, no wearing down. I am looking forward to a bunch of kids who deliver punishing hits for all 4 quarters. I am looking forward to seeing these great kids kick the crap out of teams and still act like gentlemen. That is what I remember and I feel it is coming.

So let me get this straight. You think we'll win a championship in 2012 and you say he has the most favorable schedule ever. Have you looked at the 2012 schedule?

No more slackin'.

No more slackin'.

Thanks to Coach Kelly & Coach Longo, there shouldn't be a repeat of being gassed in the 4th quarter and in November.

I'm looking forward to 100% effort & improvement from game to game until the end of the season.

It's football, I'm excited about watching it. I'm already decked out in ND and NYG apparel everyday in anticipation. Honestly is their a better sport?

Don't forget about the army game. Although those service acadamies have been giving us trouble lately.

Navy IS good. They aren't pushovers anymore. Navy hasn't been this good in decades. Army, and Airforce aren't much as far as raw talent, but Navy has a few excellent players like Dobbs, and had a highly ranked running game. The defense should be weaker this year, but they are much better than the have been in the past.

Endurance is another important thing I'm looking forward to.

I don't know how I over looked that one, considering I believe this new endurance will be perhaps the biggest factor in changing ND back into a national powerhouse.

I am MOST looking forward to one thing - and it is the same thing I look forward to MOST every year: I look forward to waking up that first Saturday morning before the first game. I feel like a kid again. The excitement and anticipation and the newness of everything just makes everything so much better. I get so giddy, I wake up at about 6:30 and I can hardly contain myself. It is a feeling you just can't duplicate. I jump around like an idiot and pace with such nervous excitement I feel foolish.

As soon as I see that Golden Dome in HD for the first time of the season, I am just so excited Notre Dame football is finally here. All the potential and possibilities of a new season and the wonderful memories of seasons past rolled in to one.

That is what I am looking forward to MOST.

That deep swallow...that deep breath...then...AND HERE COME THE IRISH!

Cracker Jacks (Prize inside) all over the floor...

I have this weird tendency to pace my space and clean things like dishes and floors and vents and rusted pipes while keeping an eye on the game when things aren't going so well.

I've been known to jump into bed and pretend to sleep in a Zen meditation attempt while peeking at the bedroom 12" TV when things don't go so well...Never took my eye off a single play, but I wrinkled my nice clothes while pretending to sleep... at least I didn't hurt my kitty.

Awesome... your description matches the way I feel on Saturday mornings in the Fall. Just like a kid at Christmas!

At noon, I throw in one of the Irish Marching Band CDs in the stereo and crank it up. Almost as good as being on campus.

Might be a good subject for a new thread: What is your pre-game ritual on Saturdays??

I wish I could be as productive as you. I tend to destroy poor inanimate things. Like a file cabinet last season. Oh and my knuckles don't do too well. I find therapy in hurting the innocent...
