The title says it all. With a new coach, come all new opportunities for ND. What are you most excited about? Players? new coaches? games? 2011 recruiting? I'd love to hear all opinions, Have At It Irish Fans!

I want to see Rich Rod lose 10 games. Also want to see Floyd play a full season to see what kind of numbers he can put up.

I want to see passion and belief again. They're kids, they should be passionate about football, and they should believe they are the best team on the field every game! After all, they ARE Notre Dame!

B freakin' K. My only hope this year is that we stomp a mud hole in the collective ass that is Michigan.

Don't forget about the army game. Although those service acadamies have been giving us trouble lately.

Disbelief, chaos (for opponents) and Crumbling belief systems.

Just between you and me - I can't wait for the season, the Irish are going to have an incredible defense this year, an off the hook, death-star offense, and they are going to get major contributions from players that have been overlooked before. I can't wait 'till players that have been already maligned, or written off, turn into beasts, and 'till BK brings these new recruit, RKG's in, develops them, and turns college recruiting on its head!

I was drunk on kool aide for years... it felt great... but it affected my personal relationships... made me angry and bitter and abusive to those that loved me most...

I entered into Kool Aide re-hab after the Michigan game last year... you know, just picking up the pieces and facing reality.

not getting weird looks, being asked why, or being laughed at when I tell people that I am a ND fan.

I had stages of my kool aid drinking

1.) Ok i hate the Patriots and i've never really heard of this guy, but he talks tough and I like it. Plus it's not Willingham

2.) Holy cow we just went 19-6 with 2 bcs bowl berths. National championship around the corner. And he got the #1 overall recruit coming out of high school sweet.

3.) Ok 3-9 we were rebuilding we'll get at it next year.

4.) Yeah we lost to Syracuse at home and got destroyed by USC, but 7-6 is an improvement, plus we finally won a bowl game. Weis should come back next year to see what he can do with this team

5.) After yet another home loss to Navy and a home loss to UCONN. "Can we just fire this mofo already?"

Mine were similar:

2005 - Yeah, Charlie Weis is awesome!

2006 - Yeah, Charlie Weis is awesome!

2007 - We're young! We'll be back!

2008 - National title next year!

2009 - FIRE HIM!!!!!!!

Didn't mean to turn the thread to the horrors of Kool-Aid abuse, but I will direct you to any search of the 1964 Fighting Irish, Ara's first year; because he had a plan, and did things differently. He calculated that there was five minutes of max exertion by a player in a 60-minute game. He used that, (for his Kool-Aid); plus, he did minor things, like move Alan Page from second string fullback, to full time d-line beast. Tell me the parallels aren't there. ARA MISSED A CONSENSUS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BY LESS THAN 1min 20sec!

The last three established, successful coaches ND hired were Ara, Dan and Lou. Dan did pretty well in his five years at the helm, and if Lou hadn't had the schedule from hell his first year he would have been way up there too! (All of them won a NC in year 3.)

Things I am excited about....Coaches who aren't out-coached constantly. Players who aren't out-conditioned regularly. Attitude, and skills to back it up. Win or lose, fight all out for 4 quarters. I'm excited as hell just thinking about kickoff of the Purdue game in a few weeks!
