To Cape Cod: thanks for Kuechenberg. I went away from the original list thinking that something important was missing and couldn't fix on it. Finally Kuechenberg came to me, knocking people on their backs so Csonka could steam-roll the rest of them into the end zone. And watching him and Nick celebrate the perfect season. What an iron machine. ----- also thanks for mentioning Myron Pottios, someone even a lot of Steeler fans have forgotten since he labored as a lone warrior practically before Greene et al showed up. To give you guys a short anecdote about how coaching can screw up teams. We had both Pottios [fabulous LB] and Bob Scholtz [fabulous Center] on ND's team in 1958. You could sub in two guys in those days. One was always a defensive back for QB Izo. The other was Scholtz for Pottios. Pottios was only allowed to play center. Scholtz was only allowed to play Linebacker. Brilliant player management by Terry Brennan.
