Regarding the QBs:
On the tenuous quarterback depth chart: "You start with, we gotta keep Dayne (Crist) healthy...Obviously we're going to have to be very judicious with the things we do offensively to protect the quarterback. But we are a spread no-huddle. You start protecting your quarterback first and foremost. And then you better have Plan B and C and they involve guys with no experience. We can't put ourselves in position to go, 'Well, give us a break, we don't have our quarterback.' We've rolled up our sleeves and we're going to have to get to work to have a two and a three ready to play good football. Because we have good players around them. And we can't have a quarterback situation stop us from being successful because we weren't prepared for it."
On whether anyone else but Crist can win the job: "It's possible. It's not likely, but it's possible. I don't think you ever tell a kid you can't go do this. These are guys with a lot of pride. It's unlikely, but we're clearly going to give them the opportunity to do it, that's for sure."
On the unknowns behind Crist: "That's the one that keeps me up. There's no question. Not having a guy that's got a couple years of experience, even in a part time role, it's unusual for me. Usually I have somebody that's either started one game or played a little bit in a backup role. We've got zero of that. We've got guys that looked good in practice and the spring game, but they haven't played when the lights go on. That's really my biggest concern, making sure we get some of the young guys ready."
