Aside from the vuvuzela noise, I also realized one minute later that this is probably the least intriguing game for me. Who cares who wins...

Seems a lot like bye-bye Big Ten. Stick that up your tailpipe and smoke it...

Only if you actually think that the conference changes are done, which would just be hilarious if you do.

Everyone can go back to slighting American soccer! See you in 4 years.

We'll be independent in 4 years...

Write that down.

We'll be independent in 4 more world cups. Write that down too.

Buck the Fig Ten.

I'm done and I feel better again...

Vuck fuvuzelas too.

Dad-gum Spain advanced over Portugal. How about those tough Japanese? So, Paraguay vs. Spain, Germany vs. Argentina, Uruguay vs. Ghana, and Brazil vs. Neatherlands.

Wow. Who's got the guess on the next round?

I'm winning my office pool.

I've been letting you guys bark it out about the world cup.

Spain over Paraguay

Argentina over Alemania

Forlan over Ghana - they can't handle a pure goal scorer

Brazil over Netherlands, but I want the Dutch to win it. Robben is F'ing nasty.

David Villa will be the top scorer at the end of the tournament.

I just hope Messi nets that hair of his...

Who is he? A Maradona test tube baby? So, I guess we can look forward to a "Hand of God" part deux?

That's the only way that little shrimp will net one.

That 'little shrimp' is the best player in the world, and let's be honest...it's not even close. People ask me who the 2nd best player is after Messi, and I tell them Messi is also the 2nd best player in the world LOL.

Most of Argentina's goals have been a direct result of his play. He's been absolutely dominating in this world cup, feathered-hair and all.

And yes, it is like he is a clone of Maradona...their play is frightening similar.

Should be a fascinating game!

And that my friend, is why a "Hand of God" part 2 is possible. The Germans are right about the Argentinians.

For those who have no idea of what I'm writing of:YouTube - Argentina VS England (Maradona Controversial Goal)

And lastly, a brief write-up discussing the goal and game, for which England was robbed. Argentina has a history as thugs.

Argentina v England (1986 FIFA World Cup quarter-final) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lastly, a quote from Messi's pa-pa:
"I was waiting for my teammates to embrace me, and no one came... I told them, 'Come hug me, or the referee isn't going to allow it.'"

Oh yeah, that will live in soccer infamy.

Unlike Maradona, by all accounts, Messi is a really good kid. Teammates love him.

For more Maradona-Messi cloneness, I HIGHLY recommend you check out this incredible goal by Messi, which, for those who aren't soccer fans, is an EXACT replica (eerily so) of a Maradona goal from the World Cup. Check it out:

I can't wait to see how Argetina's goal keeper and defense hold up against teh German attack... that's the game right there... Germany has the horses in the back to hold off Argentina as well as anyone can I suppose... but idk if Argentina has the class in the back to withstand the German counter attack and build up play.

If Argentina wins though my pick for them to win it all is looking really good because I don't know if any other team in the world matches up with Argentina the way the Germans do... Brazil and the Dutch included.

There is no doubt, Messi and Maradona have unique and unparalleled ball handling skills.

Neither of those two were/are the fastest on the pitch. But both were the fastest players I have ever seen with a ball. Their control and touch is amazing...

Its the fight vs. the German squad after they lost the shootout a few years ago that burns my rear when they caused the scuffle and the embellishment of the offsides Teves goal against the Mexico team that kicks my rear.

Reggie Bush was amazing with a football in his hand, but I never liked that kid. I still remember people saying, "He's a good kid" too... Now you know the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey would say.

Sergio Romero will be the key. That dude is a bit out there, and I don't have much confidence in him. However, Argentina's defense is solid. Heinze is on par with Lahm. Both are excellent attacking backs. Demichelis has the size to compete with Ze Germans. And I have a feeling Walter Samuel will be a big part of the physical defense you'll see this weekend. No one has the horses in the back to stop Higuan, Tevez, and Messi. If Argentina doesn't win, it will be because they missed opportunities, not because Germany's defense stopped them.

Thats a sports cop-out man. WTF?

Meaning I'm not expecting any fantastic play by the German defenders. What I could see is Tevez, Higuan, and Messi missing shots, getting frustrated, and bitching at each other for the rest of the game. I guess you could consider that "good defense."

I'll show you a cop out johnnyboy...

And predicted by someone...
Deutschland over Holland in the finals...

And a particular ACamper
Dutch beat Brazil and Germany exposes the fact that Argentina's talent is all up front...

and they meet in the fianl.

Let's knock South America out of it.

Now I need ze Germans to beat ze Cheapians, err I mean Argentinians.

Worst case scenario, I'm hoping Spain beats the "Hair" nation in Semi's.
