From Pat Forde's Twitter on ESPN

Watched first ND football conditioning workout of the summer yesterday. Kyle Rudolph is a STUD. In perfect condition and impressively fast.

And Dayne Crist looked great. In good shape, and no knee brace during running drills.

YEAH BUDDY!!

Crist looks like he may be nearing 100% (knocks on wood). I can see Crist putting up huge numbers in Kelly's offense.

And I knew Rudy was a stud now he must be studlier!!!

Is it September 4th yet?
I'm so jacked for the Brian Kelly Era to begin!!

I honestly believe Kyle Rudolph could actually end up with 1,000 yards this season. As seen in the spring game, Dayne absolutely loves throwing to him.

Nice speed for the big man, sure hands, and enough size to make a LB think twice about making the big hit. Who wouldn't love this target. He's going to be a bad bad man

I can see it too!

I think Rudy will be Dayne's main option (along with Floyd).

I still think that Clausen at times actually underutilized Rudolph, but I guess that is sort of understandable whenever you have Floyd and Tate to throw too.

There's no doubt in my mind that a healthy Rudolph will be by far the best TE in the country.

I know someone who will love this thought!

I know someone who will love this thought!

I think Shaq Evans will be the surprise of this fall. He and Theo Riddick will be flying under the radar for the first few games. I think teams will be keying on Rudy and Floyd. I hear they will play Floyd in the slot at times to screw with coverage schemes?
This could actually be a fun fall for the first time in a while. The upside is that I'm not going in with high expectations, but a good feeling nonetheless!
The other thing I think I think, is that because of our talent at RB compared to Cincy, we will rack up some major yards on the ground in this spread offense.
What's the feeling on the running game this year?

This offense is going to amazing. I have no doubts about that. As long as we stay healthy that is.

We're going to score close to 100 points in our first two games. Mark it down!

We'll break some school records....maybe points per game (not sure what the record is...could be that season with Bertelli before he left for war) or yards gained.

Rudolph is definitely a 100-catch guy. Does anyone think he can't grab 2 balls a quarter?

Teams will try to double Floyd. He'll be moved around a lot. Some may try to double Rudolph. All that means is that the running game will open up and Evans, Jones and Riddick will have a field day.

Explosiveness shall ensue....

Depends on how hard the wind is blowing with AA on the field. Praying C-Wood gets his fair share of the reps

Rudolph will be open more often, as Floyd will undoubtedly be the focus of every defense we face. Michael Floyd may reach the thousand yard mark, but he'll have a much harder time doing it. Look for Duval Kamara, Tai-ler Jones, and/or Shaq Evans to get open early and often this season.

Clausen has a bad habit of locking onto his first option, which was rarely Rudolph. Also factor in the injuries Rudy sustained late in the year.

Floyd played the entire spring game in the slot. It creates mismatches for the defense.

Shaq very well may explode this year, but it's looking like Tai-ler Jones might be the new stud in town. Shaq has the incredible speed and good open field moves, but TJ runs fantastic routes and is just as good once he has the ball in his hands. Both should see the field often.

Probably not (100 points in first two games). We'll see how we are against Purdue. I personally think we'll score more points against Michigan than the Boilermakers. Michigan will be the big breakout game for Cierre Wood. Their run defense looked abysmal in their spring game.

We won't break any records this year. If Michael Floyd and Kyle Rudolph return next year, maybe then.

Rudolph certainly can reach 100 grabs, but it's doubtful.
