I respect this guy BUT last year I read that mag until I knew it by heart and he was wrong-alot. This year I'm not getting baited up. Sorry Phil and I hope you dont have Notre Dame rated at all. It will be a good sign. Phil had a bad year last year boys.

Actually, we had a bad year last year. A very bad year. I can't get the Navy game out of my head. That one blew some goats.

God bless Phil Steele. I think he wanted the University of College Football back as bad as us. We're good for college football.

I agree yes it did seem like he wanted the Irish to succeed.

It's not his fault we had a below average coach and a defense where a majority of the players couldn't have tackled a 13 year old girl

Just because he missed on Notre Dame because of the horrific coaching we had last year doesn't nullify any of the other times in the past when he has been dead on.

Steele is so much more accurate than a lot of the other mags that have one paragraph write ups on each team... I love his mag

Phil Steele's college football publication is the best preview by far for college. It's extremely informative. He is very good at what he does. Don't be surprised if Notre Dame is on this top 30 list and higher than we think.

Last time we got a new coaching staff it was a pretty successful year.

I guess I was right there. I saw he had us at 16 yesterday. Do I think its a stretch? Not really. I think we are going to be better than a lot of people think. I don't think the new coaching staff is going to be a problem and I think the big difference in this team from last is the defense switch. I do believe the 3-4 is going to be a much better fit for this team. Especially a player like Darius Fleming. I think he is going to thrive as an outside pass rusher. Like this teams chances to make a BCS game I really do. Kelly turns programs around quick, I mean we have the talent. It's time to coach them up and put them to use. First year ND coaches have been successful in the past.
