I wonder why he didn't mention Chuck Martin and the Chicagoland area and MI. I realize this wasn't a comprehensive story but we always seem to get 2-5 guys from IL and MI.

I'm obviously biased but Chuck has a great reputation with Chicago high school coaches and regularly recruited kids to GVSU away from D1 scholarships. I think we might pull in 5 strong recruits from the IL/MI combo.

With the exception of OH, the entire Big 10 area and Big East didn't make the article. The article was entitled "Primary ... Areas". I suspect their simply extensions from their UC responsibilities. I'd like to see some kids from PA and NJ.

Do you know who we have on PA and NJ? I think I've actually asked before if anyone thinks we can still get so many kids out of the NJ area like we did under Charlie but I don't recall if anyone responded. I never feel confident about getting kids for PA though just because of Paterno and now Wannstedt, but I hope that changes.

Don't know who's covering PA and NJ. I though Kelly mentioned NJ when he did his assistant coaches intro but I can't find it in the articles I saved. The Brian Smith article only mentioned 6 assistants. There was no mention of Diaco, Martin, or Molnar. Martin is handling prospects from the Chicago area and Michigan. Molnar is from NJ originally so maybe he's the guy. But there's no NJ stop on his resume. He went to Lock Haven. Was a GA at UVA. QB coach at Western Carolina. Then Illinois St, then Kent State, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Indiana St, Central Michigan, then Cincinnati.

As for PA yeah Joe Pa is at PSU but where he was when New Jersey's Joe Theismann committed to ND, and Bolcar, and Fasano, and Ryan Grant, and Brandon Hoyte, and LoVecchio, Lorenzo Crawford, Terrance Howard,Ron Isreal, Mike, Gus Ornstein, Ryan Roberts, Irv Smith, George Wiliams, Duval Kamara, Carlo Calabrese, Hafis Williams, Mike Ragone, and Tyler Stockton.

or Pennsylvannia's Ron Powlus, Paul Failla, Justin Goheen, Don Grimm, Raghib Ismail, Rick Kazcinski, Ken Karcher, Marty Lippincott, Mike McCoy, JIm Molinaro, Joe Montana, Rob Mowl, Jason Murray, Raki Nelson, Anthony Peterson, Tim Ruddy, Tim Scannell, Cliff Stroud, Ricky Watters, Brandy Wells, Joel Williams, Shawn Wooden, Mark Zataveski, Ray Zellars, Darrin Walls, E.J. Banks, Steve Paskorz, Dave Posluzny,

Joe Pa and Wannstedt will get many of the homeboys but history has shown they don't get them all.

Seems I recall reading somewhere, I think it was when he was hired, that Diaco was going to recruit NJ. That area most likely would include PA also.

Probably right, Bob Diaco is NJ RB Savon Huggins recruiter.
