I believe the 'experts' on the draft who were saying Teabow MUST be a QB and will be the long term guy in Denver are destroying their creditbility.... the guy will be a great wildcat, slash type player who will make an impact fast but will never be an everyday QB... he simply does not have the tools... though I do think he can have a good career along the feel of Kordel Stewart-like

Although I love Jimmy, I do not want the Chiefs to draft him....gave Cassel a bunch of money, and have way too many holes to fill to draft a qb before they put anything around Cassel and give him a true chance to succeed.

I'm a Bronco fan and I'm pissed. McDaniel runs off Cutler & Marshall, then trades Sheffler!!!

Josh McDaniel needs to get run out of town with pitchforks and torches. Who's with me boys???

Denver gave up a 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks so that they could grab Tebow.

You don't give up those kinds of picks to make Tebow a tight end or to have him be a part time player in some kind of wildcat package.

It is obvious that they think he can be a franchise quarterback and considering this appears to be primarily driven by McDaniels, in the face of some major skepticism, who do you think he's going to give every opportunity to make this unorthodox decision look good.

I think the best that Brady Quinn can do is to win the quarterback job out of camp this year and hopes he plays well enough during this year and next year to garner interest from other teams for a trade.

Even if he plays well, I don't foresee much of a chance that the Broncos would stick with him, if Tebow shows any chance of being a decent quarterback.

Well I don't think Clausen is going to be a good pro and I've maintained that all along. Please don't bother contradicting me on that one either because it's not worth arguing about--it's an opinion because we haven't seen him play in the NFL yet. My view of Clausen certainly hasn't won me friends and influence around here but that's life.

As far as my Broncos selecting Tebow...head scratcher of the decade (which is four months old). He's not going to be a good pro! WTF were they thinking!? Hey, I like Tebow the person but three years from now when he's out of football doing ministerial work (and I'm not knocking him--I like the fact that he's Christian and happy to be), people are going to look back on this and ask WTF McDaniels was doing.

Or call him a genius... I like the pick - What has Quinn done in the Pros? Orten was just the quick replacement in order to get Cutler out of Denver. They went 8-8 for God sakes. Tebow has a few National Championships, a heisman... and he isn't a #1 pick and shouldn't have been - however, I would take him over Clausen. Getting hit by Navy, Army, Washington, Purdue, Michigan, Stanford isn't like getting hit by Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss or just the SEC in general.

I'm more puzzled by Sam Bradford going #1 - the worst line, with a QB that hasn't played in what 18 months... that has had reconstructive shoulder surgery... I hope he likes the signing bonus - only one he will get. Soon enough, you would think that the Rams could field their ultimate dream team with all their round one busts...

Only time will tell...

Quinn has not impressed so far, but look at what he had. His first full year starting, his team trades away their top two receiving targets in Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow. Quinn isn't allowed to throw anything longer than a five yard route. Clausen is not Quinn.

Tim Tebow did have a few national championships. However, it is a common misconception that he is majorly responsible for both. He was the back up quarterback taking shotgun snaps and running straight up the gut when Chris Leak needed a breather in 2006.

Not to mention Tim Tebow played in the spread offense with a wealth of talent around him. Fantastic offensive line, including a center drafted in the first round this year in Maurkice Pouncey. Jeff Demps, Chris Rainey, and Brandon James are all running backs with blazing speed. Aaron Hernandez is definitely no slouch at tight end. Percy Harvin, anyone? It's hard to ignore that he also had one of the best defenses in college football his last two seasons. Put Tebow on Notre Dame and he would fail on a major level. Put Clausen on Florida and he definitely would not.
