According to an article by Luke Stampini on August 20 2009, Rashad Greene moved from Georgia to Florida this past summer. Green noted that

I talked with Georgia, Florida, Georgia Tech, and Notre Dame in brief conversations and things like that.
...
I always like the Florida teams like Miami and Florida, I liked Georgia too.”

That was during the Weis Era.

Greene trains under former NFL star Chris Carter.

Hopefully the STA pipeline is pumping this year. Would make a great slot receiver.

The STA pipeline imploded last recruiting cycle. STA players came to ND to see their careers die. One of the best things that could happen would be Wenger's less than spectacular career turnaround under Warinner and Turk improves under Elston. Plus 10 or 11 wins and a BCS WIN.

haha totally agree about STA, i said that about it pumping in a sarcastic tone that obviously wasnt conveyed through text. Dan W may turn it around, but Turk is going to be good.

Did Rashad Greene change his name? lol

I had similar writeups on about 8 guys, probably surprising I only put one in the wrong place. Ray Drew is now in the Ray Drew thread where he belongs. Thanks bert!

Here's the one that should have been posted in this thread.

The speedster from STA holds some impressive offers (UF, FSU, UGA, UL, UNC, ND, MIA). Favs through the process should be the 3 in-state schools and UGA. Rashad is actually originally from GA and him heading out of state to Athens wouldn't be a huge stretch. That said, I think this comes down to UF and MIA. I think his destination might actually come down to what happens with Kelvin Benjamin. If KB heads to MIA, Greene is most likely UF bound and vice versa.

USC joins long offer list for Florida receiver

WR Rashad Greene (6-1 175) of Fort Lauderdale has added USC to his offer list. The others are Florida, Florida State, Miami, Florida International, Georgia, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Rutgers, Illinois, Wisconsin, Stanford, West Virginia, Minnesota, Duke and Notre Dame. Greene said he has interest in USC but his top group right now consists of Florida State, Georgia, Wake Forest, North Carolina and Florida. Coaches from Southern Cal, Virginia, Colorado, Alabama and Ohio State have been thru the school. Green recently moved to Fort Lauderdale from Albany, GA. Last season he caught 30 passes for about 900 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Rashad Greene (St. Thomas Aquinas Wide Receiver) Commits To Florida State - Tomahawk Nation

by Bud Elliott

6/17
Rashad Greene, a wide receiver from St. Thomas Aquinas High School has committed to play for the Florida State Seminoles, per Warchant.com Thought to be FSU's top target at the receiver position, Greene had long expressed similar fondness for FSU and pulled the trigger today at the Jimbo Fisher Football Camp.
Greene is 6'0 1/2" and 175 lbs. He runs a legit sub-4.4 40 time and had offers from all the major programs, including UGA (he's originally from Georgia), Alabama, Florida, and Miami.

Here's the scouting report from the 2011 Recruiting Board: Rashad is seriously fast. He ran the fastest 40 meter dash at the 2011 prospect combine run by Under Armour in Orlando, with a 4.4 on a wet track (100 meter champion Mike Bellamy ran 4.5 for comparison.) He is an extremely explosive athlete. Runs good routes. Catches the ball well in front of his body. He is very similar in crispness to FSU Commit Kenny Shaw from last cycle, giving him a much better chance to reach his ceiling than someone who is just raw. Greene is an ideal combination of the good qualities of current 'Nole wideouts Taiwan Easterling (hands, body control, routes, smarts) and Bert Reed (speed, explosiveness), and he's taller. Rashad receives good coaching from a proven program as well (HOF WR Chris Carter. We believe he is the #1 WR on FSU’s board. Greene is originally from GA. Also boasts a 3.5 Core GPA (Kid is qualified. Could take his SAT with a crayon and still qualify). Even in an offense that spread it around, Greene could quickly be a 50-catch, 700 yard wideout.

Only a 'Nole reporter would mention academics and crayons in the same sentence.
