Offered per B&G and Rivals.

B&G, Rivals and ESPN list him as TE.

Scout has him as a OT.

While all the recruiting services agree on his height, 6-6, his reported weight ranges from 238 to 265.

ESPN lists him as 238
B&G and Rivals have him at 250.
Scout has him at 265 which might explain their listing him as an OT. Sounds like a growing Jr making progress at the dinner table and in the weight room.

Making The Rounds Of SEC Jr Days

Making The Rounds Of SEC Jr Days

He's already been to Jr Days at Auburn, Florida, and South Carolina, and has Bama on his list.

Visited FSU last weekend. Made it to Bama's Jr Day before that and picked up and offer.

The Gators and Louisville also offered.

He's been a camper at ND.

He won't be making ND's Jr Day but will be on campus during Spring Ball.

Per ISD, Prestwood names a leader, who has access? Would like an answer to this one please.

Had a fantastic visit, was here for 3 days with his dad. coach, and others. Named the Irish his leader. Had great things to say about ND, Kelly, the coaching staff, the players (hung out w/ O-linemen and Rudolph; said they were great guys who were just like him), the campus, etc.

This kid is the real deal and has offers from all the top programs across the country. He LOVED his visit, which is great news for us. Is looking to verbal before his senior season, and will continue to visit other campuses. Is also looking to come back to ND with his mom after his own spring game on May 21st, per ISD...

Is there a function being held May 21st? Any significance to that date?

According to an article written by GatorBait.net on 3/23/10, Prestwood is now 6'6' 270. It's a premium article on Rivals, so I won't bother linking it since there isn't much in the teaser other than his size.

coming back with his mom on May 21st..... to commit? (I hope) I'd take another 4 OT's in this class including this one who seems to be putting check marks in all the right columns.

Thanks to NDinLA for the update.

Sorry guys, I typed quickly before I had to log-off, and it should have read that his own spring game is May 21st, and that after the spring game he will be looking to visit again with his mom this time, as she was not able to make the recent trip...

ESPNU 150 Watch Lister Jordan Prestwood sets announcement date
Offensive tackle / tight end Jordan Prestwood (Tampa, Fla./Plant) will make his college decision Monday during a 3:15 EST press conference, ESPN affiliate Web site IrishSportsDaily.com reports.

He holds scholarship offers from Notre Dame, USC, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina and Tennessee among others.

Prestwood, a 6-foot-6, 265-pound ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect, recently named the Fighting Irish as his leader.

He previously told IrishSportsDaily, "Definitely right now, Notre Dame is my favorite so far. As of now, Notre Dame is definitely at the top of my list, but I'm not sure yet. There is stuff I have to go over with my family."

I hate that word. I it's one thing I jaw learned in the years I've been watching notre Dame recruiting is that nothing is a lock. Hours before teycsign the letter these kids can change thier minds. I'm hoping for some good news ou of south bend on Monday but not one recruit will make or break this class or team. Kelly ha them thinking and acting as a unit. I'm hoping he is Irish but am still excited about the programs direction.

No! Don't type that! You'll jinx us!

I hope he's Irish. It can't hurt getting one of Florida's top prospects.

All signs seem to indicate that he will be Irish. Steve Wiltfong and Mike Frank are very good at keeping the wishes of recruits who tell them they will be Irish but ask them to keep it a secret until they announce (unlike Tom Lemming, who will spill the beans before a recruit announces at their presser just so he can break the news). And this has one of those vibes in my uninformed opinion. Wiltfong broke the news about the presser, and then said he liked ND's chances, and in my time w/ ISD he has rarely been wrong.

We'll see, but it looks like it'll be great news. I haven't watched his film, but just judging from his offer list (FL, Bama, SC...need I say more?) the kid must be doing something right...

And then be wrong anyway. My source, Gene Williams, told me a story of when Lemming was on ESPN, along with Gene. The recruit was Lorenzo Booker, and he seemed like a ND lock. Lemming broke the news that Booker would choose ND, but during the "hat game", he chose FSU. Lemming stormed off stage, ESPN paid attention to Gene's claims that Lemming was recruiting for ND, and Lemming was fired. Gene lol'd.

Great story! I remember that day well...I was NOT happy! Booker was a local kid and I was so hyped to get him. Even though he didn't light it up like we all thought he would, he still was a good RB who could have been great at ND. Oh well.

Let's see how long it takes for Urban Liar to start jumping on Prescott to switch his commitment after he pledges for Our Lady!

Here's another article about Prestwood's announcement:

Scout.com: Prestwood's set to commit

Jordan Prestwood is a 6-foot-6, 270 pound junior out of Plant City (FL) and he has picked up offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Texas Tech, USC,West Virginia among others.

He is now set to commit to one of those schools.

"I am having a press conference at the school on Monday at 3:15pm to announce," said Prestwood.

When asked about schools that he is considering, he said he is not naming a list of any type before he commits to one Monday afternoon.

The public may not know where he is going, but the staff he plans to play for in the future does.

He has already informed the coaches of the school he will publicly commit to of his decision.

This decision has come a little earlier than expected, but Prestwood planned to make his decision when he felt ready and he feels the time is right now.

"I know the school I am choosing is the place I want to be a part of," he said. "I am real excited about making my decision because I know I have found the place I want to be."

Prestwood would not tip his hand in any way, but he plans to let everyone know Monday after school the place that he plans to call home once he leaves Plant City High School in 2010.
