I have heard that there are a few outlet stores around South Bend that have discounted Irish merch? Is this true and if so where abouts is it?

There's one kind of on the corner of Ironwood & Edison behind the pancake house & what used to be Moon Dawgs pub (not sure if its still named that.) However I'm not sure it's still open. I've never been in there myself.

Also when I was over that way the Friday before the USC game there was sizable tent on the corner of SR.23 & Edison right by campus called something ND outlet in the name with a big sale sign. Like 30% off or something. Other than that theres always lots of vendors right by the stadium, & all the local department stores always have a wide variety of ND gear. The JC Pennies at University Park Mall has probably the widest & best quality selection.

MyNDOutlet.com

MyNDOutlet.com

The Tent Sale people you were talking about are connected to the MyNDOutlet.com website. Not sure if you have seen any of their product but it is the same stuff as the bookstore has, BUT - It's literally half the price if not more.

The outlet in the building behind the Pancake House near Ironwood and Edison is run by the bookstore. Overstocks, leftovers and stuff. Not great selection but can be very reasonable in price (sometimes as much as 80% off). It is closed during football season. Usually opens winter or spring and closes sometime before classes start in the fall (may even be earlier in summer, I don't know). Sometimes has memorabilia you see at the bookstore as well but a very limited selection of non-apparel items.

The one on Ironwood has great prices, but it can be hit or miss.

First time I was able to get a Quinn jersey and a Shark jersey for about $10 each, couple t-shirts and a hat for $2 (and it was a rwally good hat for $2).

Second time I went, selection was not very good, I only remember buying a t-shirt.

But it is definitely worth checking out.

What about through the Internet??? What and where are the best places and prices to be found? I live in Vegas so I'm surrounded by SuC assholes and all of yhier gear. I also have a 5 month old wearing 18 month old clothes so I need a place to outfit him properly. And if any of you guys wanna send him presents I'll give you the address...

Agreed, it is definitely hit or miss.

Having said that, almost 90% of my ND wardrobe, which is vast (wore an ND polo to work today as a matter of fact), is from that store. Not only is everything pretty much 50% - 75% off, my wife's dad works for ND so we get an extra 20% off at the store. She was up there for mother's day 2 weeks ago, and got me a new hat, a sweater, 2 t-shirts (one of them says "Heisman Hopeful #7" LOL - that's my coaching/workout shirt), and a sweet long sleeve shirt, all for very cheap.

Working across the street from SC, and having most of my students being SC fans, that store has allowed a poor teacher to represent ND well as well as brain-wash a few students into liking ND (now if we could just beat SC, my job would be MUCH easier!). If you're ever in town in the off-season, you must check this store out...
