Yea, some of his friends who he played football with attend MSU. If he was smart he would steer clear of Mark Dantonio. If he wants get develop to his full potential he'd go else where.

Have to agree, Dantonio is trash. But my opinion is biased. This kid is going to be one of the top recruits in this class. He is physicaly imposing, quick and makes great plays on the ball. Will be a top ten player come this time next year

If he were really smart, he'd go PSU, just the pure talent that has gone through there and onto the show throughout the years is staggering

It's better than MSU and agree PSU would be the better choice.. By no means, I loved to have this kid at ND he would get better development under Kelly than Mark..

If I'm not mistaken, Dantonio was able to produce the Big Ten player of the year... a linebacker... might I add.

Or... is Iz stupid?

HAHA about Dantonio. In his third year, with his players, he went 6-6. Also had 10 players suspended after an on-campus fight, so hes obviously recruiting top class guys (wink wink). This kid would look so good next to Manti and I think he would really prosper under a good coach.

Dantonio had some damn good defenses at Ohio State in his three years as their D. Coordinator. 2002 title game? anybody watch it? 13 players from that side of the ball were drafted during his tenure. He was sooo bad at Cincy, he got a job at Michigan State.

rant over back to Mr. Thomas...

Bob Davie was a decent DC but never panned out as a head coach. As 2002 title game, wasn't there a bad call against Miami that gave tOSU the game? Fact is, he's a head coach now and he's not even that great. Could it be lack of player development?

As for the MSU job, who really wanted it? It's not that attractive job and did they were looking at before Mark. The question would be did they settle for Mark?

Wow, huge surprise that UM isn't in it. Probably sees some problems with them coming up with either the lack of scheduling practice times or even DickRod's overthrow after next season.

Struck me the same way til I realized Southern Cal is on his list. Supposedly he's been favoring MSU and that connection might have gotten UM crossed off. Time will tell as both UM and USC should have resolution of their problems before next NSD.

Highly-coveted junior linebacker Lawrence Thomas (Detroit/Renaissance) committed to Michigan State Friday, ESPN affiliate Web site SpartanTailgate.com reports.

The ESPNU 150 Watch List talent selected the Spartans over Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, USC and Michigan. He also recently named Cincinnati, Miami-FL, Notre Dame, Penn State and Oklahoma as other schools under serious consideration.

"I chose Michigan State because, 1. It's a great place to be; 2. I feel the program is definitely on the rise; 3. Michigan State has a lot of great people and great fan support; 4. Michigan State has been recruiting me since ninth grade, they recognized the talent I have pretty early; 5. Michigan State offered a lot of things I needed and so did a lot of schools," he said.

"I could have played great football and got a great education at a lot of other universities and I want to thank all the universities that recruited me and showed me attention that I was worthy of a scholarship. But at the end of the day, you have to go with your heart and I just felt that Michigan State was the place for me."

2. I feel the program is definitely on the rise;

ROFL, one good year with riding Javon Ringer's back in a Big Ten down year, doesn't make a team on the rise.. But whatever kid, good luck to him..
