According to Jake Brown, Irish Illustrated, OL Bobby Hart is ND's next target at St. Thomas Aquinas. He's a recent transfer into STA. Hart was MVP at the U.S. Army All-American Combine last month.

He listed as an OT by Rivals and Scout while ESPN has him listed as a OG. As a 6-4, 283 junior Hart's already the size Ryan Harris was when he started as a freshman RT for ND.

The 6:01 40 Hart recorded at the U.S. Army National Combine appears quite slow even for an OL, however out of nearly 500 athletes at that combine only 7 had a time of less than 4.7. It was either a very slow track or the most honest timing recorded.

Do you realize how many transfers STA gets every year? Unbelievable. Their coaches recruit 10x's harder than Tyrone Golfingham ever did at ND. Area coaches must HATE St. Aquinas Academy. As a former h.s. bball coach, the blatant recruiting is what drove me out of the game.

Anyways, hope this transfer gives ND a look; we're going to need lots of big uglies in the next recruiting class...

See him as more of a guard from what I've seen but if he hold his own his senior year as a tackle then great. Either way he is a hell o an olineman. Hope he gives us an honest look

It's not difficult to recruit players to STA. STA is not only one of the best football programs in the country, it is also one of the best schools in the state of Florida. It is also a beautiful campus, like the ND of high schools.

Hart's recruitment blowing up - ESPN

Florida State was a real good trip. It's a real good school. I got the chance to talk with (Seminoles offensive line coach) Rick Trickett and he broke down the depth chart and everything and said that they really needed me up there. They had real nice facilities. I liked how everything was in one center piece like the locker room, the weight room and the stadium- it was real good, I liked it.

Per Bill Hodge's On The Trail

7/17
Florida State has snared ESPNU 150 offensive tackle Bobby Hart of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) for the Class of 2011.

Rated No. 6 among offensive tackles nationally, the 6-foot-5, 300-pound Hart considered the Seminoles, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU and Florida among his top finalists.

"It feels like a big burden is off my back knowing where I'm going to college. The last visit is what sealed the deal for me. Everything felt good, felt right. Coach Gran is a great recruiter and person, but coach Trickett made everything feel right," he told ESPN affiliate Web site NoleInsider.com.

"When I told Jimbo he was screaming and he told me I'd have an equal opportunity to start like everyone else. The only visit I'm going to take is FSU, I'm 100 percent done."
