Hmmm, this one sort of surprised me. Based on the "readings" regarding him from the time the offer was made until today I would have projected Ioane committing before I would have predicted Schwenke. I'm elated to land Schwenke, but once I thought that he signed that Ioane to follow suit.

Anyone look at how many safeties/CB Boise State has too...they have 20 according to Scout, including the 3 commits. He either plans on beating a lot of people out or not playing right away.

If he is not gonna enroll until Jan 2011 is he still a prospect. Would'nt he be a Boise verbal?? Dunno how this gray shirt BS works...

Idk. I dont think he would send his LOI in, because the January commits this year didnt sign them until they got on campus. Wonder how the whole thing works with the NCAA rules and everything.

Hell, i would definately take the kid signing late to ND if he wanted to come. We need DBs still.

I guess I'm the only one who wasn't upset we didn't get him. He is a Safety with CB size with average speed. Maybe I just didn't buy into a 4minute highlight tape as a reason to recruit a guy.

If i had a 4 minute tape highlighting my high school career I'd look like a stud too, you'd even get to see me sack ex nfl QB Eric Zeier.

The kid still seems stand up and I don't think we should be talking smack on him just because he didn't commit, I saw a lot of comments over at DD saying a bunch of nonsense. Who cares. He didn't sign, but he does seem like a stand up kid. Water under the bridge, we have 22 kids that do want to play in that Gold Helmet.

He was strong as an ox, hits like a brick, and has 4.5 speed, faster than Taylor Mays and Troy P out of HS and almost the same weight as Troy P, just in case you didn't know timm3117 those guys are pretty good safeties. (*sarcasm)

And oh I know I'm sure your highlight reel would have been amazing, we were all-stars in HS, at least that's how we remember it. (*sarcasm again)

I do enjoy sarcasm, but comparing this kid to Taylor Mays and Troy Polamalu is a bit unfair to him. As I recall they were both very highly rated coming out of high school, Jeremy wasn't. The kid might be great someday, but he is a long shot. I wasn't in any way knocking him, I was just pointing out the only thing we really know about him was from a short recruiting video.

And I was simply pointing out if I had a short video highlighting my career I would have looked much better then I was. Because I made some nice play, in the middle of a very average High School career. This is why scouts look at full game footage and not a highlight reel.
