I read about his stock rise due to a monster senior season. Anyone know what his senior stats were and how difficult the league is in which he competes?

but scouts had him as a 2 star. Look at all the info before you sketch it in stone.

edit:lack of eloquence

That's just ridiculous. He frustrated at times and wasn't a terrific coverage safety, but he was in no way garbage. He was a leader on our defense, was a very sound tackler, and was certainly not terrible in coverage as well.

Dude, he might not have been garbage, but he was a perfect example of why you can't run a team on 2/3 star players. Kmac did everything right, worked his ass off but you know what, he just didn't have the god-given athletic ability to be an elite player in college football.

Totally agree, I was just pointing out that he wasn't garbage. With more talent around him, I think he could have been a very good complimentary player.

Anyways, back to the thread topic... This guy has good speed and a pretty darn good build for safety as well. I am very excited as well, because he played in a good football league at Skyline HS. It will be interesting to see how he turns out. This guy, I would say, is one of the developmental 2* based on a very good upside. He may turn out, he may not. However, I think he definitely has a higher ceiling than a Kyle McCarthy does.

No, he wasn't the most talented but he played a damn side better than those more talented players around him. If he had been the weakest link in the defense, ND would have been playing in a BCS Bowl this year and Weis would still have a job.

If any of you wish to continue parsing McCarthy take it to a football thread. This is a recruit's profile.

Would be happy if Mr. Lee was as good as Kmac. He'll have alot more help around him and would have a shot at NFL as people who can tackle always get looked at. Imagine how good Kyle could have been if he wasn't so tired from making every second tackle.

Lee looks like he has the size and speed to become an impact player on the next level.

An important aspect of this is the Skyline High School connection. I'm not from Texas, but I've definitely heard about players from Skyline. They have 10 players with scholarships to FBS schools this year. ND has been trying to pull recruits from Texas with little success (very happy with KLM though!) and establishing a good relationship with coaches and players at Skyline could be huge in the future. ND had offered to Skyline WR Mike Davis who was recruited by Alford and committed to Texas recently.

Get Lee to sign and put the ground work in to get a Skyline-ND pipeline going!

Visiting Utah and Wisconsin. We are battling UNC for the last visit. Which would be the 29th.
