NFL Network has a Top 10 Marathon, and it starts off with Top 10 Football Factories, and it places ND at #3!!!! Number 3? Don't we hold the record for most players sent to the NFL? Usually I don't disagree with these Top 10s but this is just ridiculous. they put Miami over Nd and how long has the U been sending talent to the NFL since like the 80s? What about since the 40s like Notre Dame. I haven't finished the list, but I'm 95% sure USC will be ranked one.

I'm pretty sure that Miami and Michigan have a lot more players in the NFL than we do. #3 is too high if you ask me. I would put us more around #7 or #8. We havent been a football "factory" since 1993.

Humans have a fundamental flaw in their thinking - they generally give more weight to things that occurred more recently when doing any kind of comparative evaluation or analysis. The entire academic field of history exists because humans are bad at it naturally.

ND might not have a lot of "TOP" players but there are many ND players in the nfl look it up on nfl.com i think you can search by school, besides its not that big of deal whens the last time notre dame football has been top 3 in anything?

I suppose I could have phrased myself better. The error is someone evaluating college football in general, and allege ND isn't high on the list of producing pro talent. Miami, for example, has only recently done so, relatively speaking (since the 70's). ND has done so for over a century. Thats the recency error I was referring to.

If they included the U that high then they did their list off of recent success and we shouldn't be top five... if they have us that high at all it should be number one ALL TIME... I don't believe any other school has put more players in the NFL and once Tim and Bus get in the hall no other school will have put more players in the hall either... hard to argue that.
