I don't see how you can get rid of the playing of the 1812 Overture, its tradition. And ND is ALL about traditions!

When did the 1812 Overture begin? Wasn't that something that started with Lou in the mid-late 80's? It SHOULD have left with Lou. It is something that devolved into forced mass adulation of the head coach, regardless of performance. As earlier stated, the 1812 Overture has gotten to be an uncomfortable part of the gameday experience.

It also apparently has become tradition to lose on Senior Day. Some traditions are ok to be ended.

Agree. Especially the last2 years under Weis this has gotten ugly. Just try something new

Yup.

The band should once and for all learn how to PROPERLY play the Imperial March and bring that out as a rallying cry for the defense before the start of the 4th quarter.
