I don't think Notre Dame is going after a coach like this. They seem to want to get who they can for $2-3 million. If they TRULY wnent after Bob Stoops or someone, who knows how great we could be again. We are a step down right now. Sad

Notre Dame offered Stoops 6 mil per year for 5 years and he wanted to stay at OK. What can you do? You gonna throw 10 mil a year at him and be a laughing stock unless he brings multiple national titles?

The Notre Dame job is a great job when youre successful here and a living nightmare if you arent. Its not for everyone.

What unsucccessful ND coach ever gained back even a sliver of success after?

Faust disappeared at Akron. Davie is still in a booth and isnt even mentioned for any job. Willingham I believe is out of coaching after a all time disaster at Dub. Weis will return to the fold of the NFL booth and never head coach again on a significant level after this.
