Colin Cowherd has got to be the biggest Notre Dame hater in America! There is no merit to his rants. He has stated on his show that he is a Washington Husky fan who is pulling for Southern Cal until his Huskies become a good team again. What kind of crap is that?

As I was watching SportsNation last night ( a show I truly love just hate Cowturd is on it) It occurred to me he has surpassed Skip Bayless & Mark May on my hate list. At least with May his comments are founded in some sort of fact. Cowherd is just a moron & it's not just his dislike for Notre Dame that annoys me. It's everything. His view of sports as a whole is so distorted it makes me wonder if he has ever competed in anything at any level. He is a true moron with absolutely no clue what he's talking about. How he has any sort of job in sports media is completely beyond me.

Yes I disagree. His whole argument is the fact that Notre Dame is no longer relevant. If that is the case then why is he talking about them every 5 minutes. We aren't as strong as we used to be granted, but every school goes through droughts. We will rise again because WE ARE .... ND!

Notre Dame is made relevant because we have the largest fanbase Nationally, there are no bandwagoners.
Really? A man was just basically forced to retire from a school he coached at for 35 years, is the second winningest coach in the history of college football, and has 2 national championships under his belt, and that plays second fiddle to an irrelevant team who has fired another coach after just 5 years. Sounds about right.

1. I don't think anyone is arguing that ND is the most relevant team in the country, just that we are relevant. The only way that Cowherd is correct, is if you look at it strictly from a perspective of being in the NC picture. In that sense, ND hasn't been relevant in a long time.
2. Why ND is relevant is immaterial. The discussion is about whether they are relevant or not.

Notre Dame is made relevant because we have the largest fanbase Nationally, there are no bandwagoners. To expand on this, the National sports media reports on Notre Dame because there are many people across the entire country that want to know. Thats the reason why we're considered the National University. Articles on Notre Dame aren't going to be published by local news sources, like other schools.

It all goes in cycles, teams win titles then fade away, look at Cincinatti this year or Rutgers a few years ago....The difference is people talk about ND EVERY YEAR, while idiots like Cowherd might be saying we are irrelevant, you can't fight facts, ND makes BSPN everyday during football season and a lot of them in the off-season....The fact that we are so relevant wears me out a little bit b/c w/ BSPN they always have a negative spin.....F Cowherd.

I never said Cowherd is 100% right with all of his comments, but the ones hes made this past week I agree with.
His stance is not that Notre Dame isn't relevant, its just not as relevant as us "arrogant domers" supposedly think about the program.
What makes a team relevant is the amount of people who like them or dislike them, or in Notre Dame's case love them or hate them. The thing about ND is there is no middle ground you either love them or hate them, but in either case they want to know about them, either to celebrate their success or rejoice in their failures. They watch their games and listen up when they hear them mentioned on TV. No other School has every single game televised nationally. So in this case we are and have been the most relevant team in college football for a long, long time.

No other school has every single game televised nationally, does ESPN or FSC include being nationally televised? I would think everybody has Cable TV by now.
That claim went out the door 5+ years ago.
Not EVERY game of their season. I'm sure their games are televised regionally but not Nationally. That claim is still valid.

Texas has played on TV every game this season.
Alabama has played on TV every game this season.
Florida has played on TV every game this season.
Boise State has played on TV every game this season, on ESPN's channels.
I do nothing but watch college football on Saturdays.
We play on basic TV every game, thats our claim.
But we're not the only team being televised Nationally.

Being broadcast on Fox Sports Texas, or Fox Sports West, is not a national broadcast, it's a regional broadcast. I think the point that was being made is that every ND game this season was broadcast to a national audience, not just that they were "on TV".

The kind of crap that a pontificating, sniveling, whiney, nasaly little know-it-all bitch like Colin Cowherd says. Tune in any day during the fall and you can catch at least twenty minutes of the guy blowing Pete Carrol over the airwaves. I think my personal favorite is when he sings....he thinks it's so hilarious and it's the most annoying, grating thing I've ever heard.
Bottom line--I don't even need to hear him say something moronic (which he does each minute of his show)-- the first time I heard his whiney, nasaly voice I knew he was a douche bag.
