Looked like he'd been crying before he did his interview.

This is why I love the guy. He cares about his coach (he even said he talks to Weis about his family, etc.) and did everything he could to win for him.

Golden and Charlie both seem like very genuine people. I hate to see both of them go.

Golden Tate should still be mentioned in the Heisman talk. The guy is flat out awesome.

Did you notice the big warm embrace with Swarbrick on the sidelines after the game.... JS is not known as a warm and fuzzy guy who gets along with a lot of people at ND.

this is why the heisman shoudlnt be based on being on one of the elite teams. it is never up to one single player to win games. notre dame and stanford both have terrible defenses and have lost games because of it, so does that mean you take gerhart and tate out of heisman talk? it shouldnt, tate is definitely one of the best players in the country this year. his highlight reel is definitely the best, and he left the season on a hot streak. i think it is a shame if golden tate doesnt get invited to the presentation in NY. this is one of the things about college football that detours viewers and gives it a bad name. we all know tebow and ingram will probably end up in the talk, which is not deserved at all. tebow is a great player, but THIS season he is not even in the top 5 for most outstanding players in the nation. same with ingram, great rb, but he only has 12 td's... gerhart has 26!!! they are just elite players on elite teams, but definitely not the most outstanding performances of the season. WHEN IS COLLEGE FOOTBALL GOING TO FIGURE THIS OUT??

ISD reported that he said he hadn't given it much thought, needed to sit down with coach, and family, and discuss.... just said he hoped it's not his last time in a Notre Dame uniform

Even thought its not likely it would be awesome if he came back. The offense next year would still be pretty good. Give dayne some time as the #1 and he can be a good one. Golden coming back would help a lot

I've always heard his mom has a lot of say and wants him to get his degree. And since he is seemingly the only one who gets those caps....

Golden can have his degree (in Sociology) done by the spring, I believe.
