It really does seem like a 2 horse race but Golden is just a special player with a great name

Tate was by far the best player on the Irish team. Jimmy was the second best player. If Floyd stays healthy then he could be right up there.

My first post, been reading the board for a long while though..

I agree, Golden Tate, he reminds me of Hines Ward..Tate is going to make a great pro..

Gotta be Golden. I wish he would stay one more year to keep him and floys together and to give two great targets for Crist if he heals up

I voted for Clausen even though Tate is my favorite player. You need an elite QB to do the things that Tate is doing.

Tough call, but I went with Tate. The guy is durable and versatile. It all started with Jimmy though. Why the hell did you get hurt dude? I think Jimmy's injury ended the season and his Heisman.

I have never liked CW's coaching philosophy. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Clausen got him the ball that much is true, but I think its the YAC that matter here. The guy is a flat out threat to bring it to the house every time he catches it.

Clausen is the best pro-style QB in college football, but Tate has just amazed me all year. They should be 1-2 in the Heisman in my eyes.

Welcome to IE Infidel Strong.

I went with Golden as well..... think he is going pro, but i hope not. He would make a great fit in Urbans system lol. And if he does go pro, i dont think he is going to go in basketball.

Golden tate by a bit over jimmy. Golden simply was awesome and some of the catches he made made my jaw drop. The hail mary against washington state, so many td's and long gains after the catch and my personal favorite the catch against usc when he got blasted by taylor mays and still hang on to the ball. Wow what a year he had

Nobody from the defensive side of the ball should be on this list. Kyle McCarthy showed great hustle and heart. He always took good angles but he is too small to cover tight ends and too slow to cover wide receivers. He was everything that the players with his twice athletic ability on the defensive side should be: concerned, concentrated and prepared. Unfortunately he was part part of a secondary that was picked apart time and time again (thank you Jon Tenuta for your astoundingly ineffective blitzing defense).

My vote is Ruffer or Tate.

Well you guys know who I am voting for. His hightlight reel compares to anyone's in the last ten years.

His td against MSU and his subsequent leap into the MSU band.

Attempting to jump for the endzone against Washington from the 5-yard line.

Taking a shot from Taylor Mays and walking into the endzone.

His miraculous Hail Mary catch against Washington State.

Eluding six defenders to score his third td against Stanford.

Having two 200-yard games this season.

Scoring a receiving, rushing, and return td in one year.

His punt return against Pitt.

I am sure I am missing more huge highlights that I can't remember, but we have been blessed to see someone who might possibly be the best receiver Notre Dame has ever had. God bless Golden Tate!!!

KYLE MCCARTHY

KYLE MCCARTHY

With out him and all his tackles Notre Dame would have given up 60 points a game.
When your safty makes all the tackles, something is wrong. This went on for the last three years.

I think Tate was the best offensive player, best defensive was Brian Smith, and best Special Team, of course, Anello.

Jimmy is my favorite player, just respect the guy for sticking in a tough situation after 2007 and working soooo hard to improve.

Golden is obviously the most electric player, with C.J. Spiler, the most dynamic and explosive in ten years at ND.

The last guy i trusted to make the big plays on offense was the Shark, but he didn't beak as many ankles as often aS GOLDEN has.

Vote: Tate

2cd: Klye Mac - singly responsible for several wins this year, defensive stands i will never forget because before his Int's and pass break-ups i was shitting my pants... Thanks to Kyle's heroics, I ONLY PISSED THEM.

To me its JC because he really has had an excellent season and matured a lot as a QB. But it is a toss up between JC and GT.
