why is it foolish to defend the coach of your program? i will defend him until the end. its easy to hate, easy to say "well i never wanted him" but the fact is charlie is our coach. and until he is no longer i will defend him.

Worst Calls: Most of our redzone calls this year. Throwing a fade or jump ball in the corner every play gets old. It will be the death of Michael Floyd.

Did you offer Ty the same support during his downward spiral? As CW is being run out IE should recognize that he is leaving this program in much better shape than when he got here. The team is fully stocked and that is due to his work ethic and never giving up. HE will be remembered much better than Ty or Davies. Do we think he will get a gig with ESPN?

No offense to Brian Schottenheimer, but I would not be surprised to see him land in the Offensive Coordinator's spot, with the J-E-T-S, jets, jets, jets, jets. They have a young quarterback who has shown some promise, but also had played poorly. They could really use a quarterback guru like Weis.

Nice. I tend to agree, although I thought Davie left the team in good shape, but he had a ridiculously tough schedule every year and all on national T.V. I don't think any coach could have won an N.C. under his circumstances.

(I was not a big fan of Davie).

I will always have love for Weis and it would be nice if stays in contact with the program in some aspect because he has put the Irish back in a position to win.

Any club that hus a youngf quarterback would be foolish not to call Weis. He will find success again

yes i did, i backed every coach as long as they were our coach, i always wanted them to do well. when they didnt it was hard, but in the end its just football.

I think if charlie is no longer the coach after this season, it will be the most difficult transition i will go through, mainly because charlie got me to pay serious attention to the irish and really made me into the fanatic i am today.

made it a little easier to win the game. Until we beat SC, we need better supervision.

In the context of this discussion, things really haven't changed at all. leahy's nads said that he could come up with ZERO calls by Weis, EVER, that were good calls. Regardless of what situation Charlie currently finds himself in, that was still an incredibly biased and shortsighted point of view, on the part of leahy's.
