so washington and fcs villanova are equal programs? in case you dont realize fcs means 1AA yeah thats a powerhouse program. btw doesnt their hc and dc have a little bit of a connection to usc, maybe some inside knowledge of the program and possible holes to attack?

and usc i think has proven that they arent that good of a team this year. typically great to good teams dont lose by 27.

there is no comparison, there is NO WAY you can tell me that navy is a good team and its acceptable to lose to them.

maybe just maybe if this was the FIRST stinker game they had against a piss poor opponent, lets remember that this is not the first poor game nd has played. just because they won doesnt mean they played well.

ummm, jason is completely right on this. Appalachian State beat Michigan....Purdue beat OSU...blah blah blah blah, it doesn't matter. There is PARODY in college football! Any given team can win on any given saturday..remember when Boise State beat Oklahoma?

Main Entry: 1par·o·dy
Pronunciation: \ˈper-ə-dē, ˈpa-rə-\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural par·o·dies
Etymology: Latin parodia, from Greek parōidia, from para- + aidein to sing — more at ode
Date: 1598
1 : a literary or musical work in which the style of an author or work is closely imitated for comic effect or in ridicule
2 : a feeble or ridiculous imitation

While this year's Irish football team has certainly been a feeble imitation of the great teams of the school's storied past...........I think the word you were looking for was parity?

i understand what you mean i still say calling navy a good team is a far stretch. they are a decent team but far from elite status, far from the type of team that it should be ok to lose to.

agreed, then again, it's tough to really have a team that's "ok to lose to" but I see your point.

Yes and alleycat and phor and all others who bring this up

Unfortunately I didn't make any comments about somebody beating somebody who beat somebody meaning ND would lose to somebody.

I pointed out that calling Navy a good team based on their record isn't very wise. They haven't beaten good teams but feel free to throw words in my mouth.
