Unconfirmed sources within the university have leaked that Notre Dame will fire Charlie Weis as head football coach at season's end. The sources named Jon Gruden and Cincinnati's Brian Kelly as Notre Dame's top candidates to replace Weis.

I am so worried about this crap, I feel like I am gonna puke, I am just as upset as anyone but firing him now, the season will be lost for good then, Let it play out, then if need be let him go, but if they fire him but let him coach out and they win their next three and a bowl game, then what? All I am saying is if this crap gets leaked what is the team gonna think, well the guy who recruited us and made us promises is gone and now where do we go, It just messes everything up, I live in TitleTown U.S.A with the winningest highschool program ever and they just fired their coach and they are headed to the playoffs next week, but they are letting him coach untill it's over, that is stupid and a lot of the kids have already quit or gotten into trouble. The ids look up to this guy and some have been with him like 5 years so this is only gonna hurt the team and the progress we have made, AND WE HAVE MADE PROGRESS, you can't deny this!

I'm not trying to be negative here, but let's be honest. We will not be 9-3 after the Stanford game. 8-4 at best, with 7-5 more likely. I see no reason why this team will prove me wrong by beating Pitt or Stanford until they can play a full 60 minutes and not just a great 4th quarter.

So we racked up over 500 yards of offense and just made a couple mistakes, that is way worst than being completely inept at offense in 2007 and not even getting 75 yards of rushing... you guys are all idiots if you can't see the uptrend of ND football over the past 5 years

yes. 3-16 against teams with a .500 record or better is an uptrend.yeh,thats the kind of guy we need leading us.

BC doesn't have 1 win that would be considered a win over a quality opponent. I'm not saying we can't win, I'm saying I don't think we will win. This doesn't mean I will quit watching my team. It doesn't mean that they should just throw in the towel. It simply means I, personally, (just my opinion) don't think we will win. And let me just say, it completely sucks ass that I feel this way. Guys chill out already, he didn't say that we CAN'T beat them, he just said he didn't think that we were going to beat them. To be honest I think there is a good chance we could lose one if not both of those games. If DRI had said last Friday that he thought Navy was going to beat us, people would have ripped him a new one, well guess what THEY DID BEAT US! I don't recall him saying he "wants" us to lose so just relax.
