He's the best active running back on the roster. He's made a couple of moves that made my jaw drop this season. So shifty, so elusive, so quick. Everything Robert Hughes is not.

In no way am I bashing Hughes. I love the guy and I respect him for choosing ND, but he's not as good as Theo. Theo has that burst and the ability to make things happen.

I think he needs to start if Allen cannot.

I like this Kid, keep him as the #1 RB. I'm still not sold on AA. Theo got great speed and know when to hit the hole, and when to go to the outside, plus he has good moves to get extra yards...........I love his juking abilities.........

Cannot disagree here at all with you C2F. He should be the man right now. I cannot believe they dont give the kid a shot once we are within the 5yd line. Its really upsetting me, you can tell the kid wants the endzone really bad, but CW wont give it to him.

If AA was healthy, he is by far our best option, but he is not. Theo should be the man.

i agree. and he also brings something allen didn't have until this season, and that's power. he can take a hit and he can dish 'em out as well. i love this guy, he, like manti, needs to be on the field a lot more

he definitely needs to be getting more touches than robert hughes. He runs with power and speed.....let me say that again.......SPEED ........ nothing against hughes but why is he the one getting the tosses and the screen passes in open field.........he is a power back .........give the ball to riddick more in the open field

I love this kid and think he is developing into a fantastic running back and shows great promise for the future. I also understand why Weis gives the ball to Hughes inside the 5, he is our"big back" and is supposed to pound it in.

However, Riddick has been playing lights out since Game 1, whether on kick returns or with the limited snaps he gets. My big thing is, if the kid is doing great and is the reason why we got down to the 5 in the first place, can we not just give him one or two chances to put it in. He earned that chance by getting us to that point on the field, and Weis will not know if he is good in the red zone until he gives him the opportunity to show it.

I love big backs, and I like Robert, but Theo did look better Saturday. Totally agree w/ you guys above give it to Robert straight ahead, let Theo or Armando or Jonas take the toss sweeps.....after writing this I thought about it for a second, we have a lot of talented backs.

absolutely right...i remember watching the first game against Nevada and he was back to return the opening kick off....he was back swaying back and forth..i thought to myself, "this kid has some swagger and that is what ND needs." He will be a great game changer just like tate....

during the navy game, i still do not understand why CW did not give the ball to him more and the same goes for tate "thats another story".....bottomline...it's CW's fault that theo is not seeing more PT..
