1,059 yards on the year, with 10 TDs. He is 402 yards away from the all-time Notre Dame receiving yardage record with 4 games left this season to do it (100.5 yards per game). Yay.

Michael Floyd now has 499 yards on the year, finishing today with 10 catches for 141 yards. He also has 4 games to reach 1,000 yards (125.25 yards per game).

There's some reason to be happy.

How the hell did Jimmy throw for 450+ and we lost? We completely struck out in the red zone today.

Yardage doesn't always translate to wins.

Brady Quinn threw for 400+ on Purdue in 2004, in what turned out to be a 41-16 loss. The following year, he put up 485 on Michigan State in a loss.

Our field goal kicking, though improved, showed up to bite us in the ass today. Also, was it just me or did they play uptight and panicked in the red zone?

Frankly these stats are nice and all but wtf? Did you see the game today?

Its like getting in a car crash that totals your car and kills your wife but youre happy that your vanity plates are salvagable.

Maybe the vanity plates were more valuable than the wife?

Stats are nice, but I tend to think we are wasting Clausen/Tate/Floyd's talents. I hate to see these guys stuck on a mediocre team, they deserve better.

Great for Tate (unintentional rhyme). He's a fine player. I wish him great successes in the draft and the pros.
