In a new feature on Irish Envy, I will be doing a weekly (or completely one-time) college football poll. It's a top ten.

1. Iowa - hot team right now. I'm all about the hot team
2. Oklahoma - they're good every year right?
3. USC - see OK.
4. Oregon - if everyone else can screw them over, so can I.
5. Cincinnati - Miss the Brian Kelly, fire Weis posts. What happened?
6. Pitt - I think Wanny has all the pieces in place(Bear fans, remember?).
7. Indiana - They can almost beat anybody in the nation.
8. Troy - Would love to see them lose to a semi-pro Greek team at home.
9. South Florida - I love when Bowden loses.
10. Iowa State - it's a land-grant AND space-grant college, biznich.

83. Notre Dame - #83 in Total Defense, also #5 in Total Offense. Could crack top ten by end the the year.

1. Is not Fair or Balanced (at least I'm honest about it)
2. No computer was used to formulate any formulas
3. No formulas were used
4. Margin of Victory of disregarded (or vigorously used when fits argument).
5. Teams (and players) are prejudged. Rankings are capricious and subject to change on a whim.
6. Rankings are 100% scientific and are figured in to the BCS rankings at the end of the regular season
