While I agree that the field is a mess, this SHOULD work to our advantage. OUr guys should be used to it and the equipment managers should be giving them 1 1/2 inch cleants to play with. I personally love the fact that in the 05 game with SC the grass was so long it covered the players feet, just another ND tradition and as I stated SHOULD be an advantage for home games.

Agreed....Very well said. This isn't the SEC....we play with what we got.

Watch how fast they look on the turf this weekend, it may be something they look into. The only problem is it makes fast guys faster so you better recruit speed if you have it. Greenbay and Pittsburgh may have the same turf, I'd like to see it at ND.

Just so we keep the field plain ( no logo ) and the lines in the end zone. Pittsburgh is the only other place I've seen 'em.

I've played on artificial turf and I've seen it ruin peoples knees. I'm totally against turf.

Field turf doesn't feel too bad under your feet. I would say its pretty comparable to grass. Its landing on the turf that sucks. And all those little black pellets are annoying too. I haven't been on it wet, but I imagine it is just as slick as real turf.

There is nothing like real grass.

P.S. I don't think you really move much faster on Field Turf than on real turf. (old school astroturf is a different story though.)
