We won't get any this week. I'm watching the USC - Cal game on ABC and the announcers have already stated they thought Washington should have won that game and that ND got lucky. Guys must not have watched the same game I did. Minus a couple mistakes, ND played better football than Udub all game. In any event, we will continue to get hate unless we beat USC in 2 weeks.

I must not have watched the same game you did either. I think Washington outgained ND and went toe to toe right until the end. Minus our own Bush Push the game wouldn't have been won.

USC has become NDs high water mark. Beat them then all things glorious roll NDs way. Heisman talk for Jimmy, dreams of 11-1, etc etc. Lose? And its back out of the Top25. This is shaping up to be quite a big game.

ND averaged 8.9 yards per play. We had our problems at the goal line and just couldn't punch it in. Otherwise, this game looks totally different. Washington, while they did have a decent running game today, just didn't seem to make their yards as easily as we did. I'm not saying they didn't put up a good fight, but to say they deserved to win is bullshit. They didn't. We did. On another note, ND made plays when it counted. Washington didn't. So, I guess we did watch a different game.

Actually I said that the ABC announcers said Washington should have won that game and that ND got lucky. I beg to differ as well. I'm just tired of listening to the talking heads in media who take every opportunity to bash ND. In 2 weeks these same announcers are going to be talking about how good ND is so that they can hype up the USC game. So, if ND wins will it only be because they got lucky? We may just hear that in the media.

Have to think we'll be in in next week: Nebraska (22) is playing Missouri (18)
Alabama (3) is playing Ole Miss (16)
Ohio State (9) is playing Wisconsin (25)

If we could get some help with Arkansas over Auburn (19), Tennessee over Georgia (26), Kentucky over South Carolina (27), FSU over Georgia Tech (23) then we could be in the 20-25 range. Also its been mentioned here but voters want the USC game to be even more hyped up so ND being ranked would definitely help.

I love how Mark May has a hard-on for Taint Forcier and his play against Sparty yesterday, but doesn't give them shit for losing. They are 2 plays away from having 3 losses, but are perceived MUCH differently at this time in the season than we are.

This is another crazy season. I disagree that we will be ranked next week. Have to be USC. That is the barometer that has been established for us to be a top-25 caliber team this season. Lose that game, and we're cooked. I really don't know that 10-2 gets us in the BCS this year. 11-1 or bust.

I disagree. We still have a hobbled quarterback and are without the best receiver in the country. It is also way too early to talk about the bcs. Depending on the way things shake out, 10-2 might easily put is in. Or it could end up we arent close. Its only the first weekend in October...
