For the record, I have not turned against Weis, NDinLA
I am sitting squarely on the fence but I will admit that I went from being a huge supporter to being on the fence. Havent we all though? [/QUOTE]
That's fine. I really don't blame people for being on the fence or even saying he's not the man for the job. What kills me is the people that nitpick for every little thing he does, and even find fault for the things he does well. I'm personally behind him 100%, but I'm skeptical about whether he'll last the way we've had to squeak wins out. He loses, he's gone, plain and simple.
I didnt lie about Crist, man you really like to be inflammatory. The beginning of the Crist possessions were effective, it slowly went down the toilet to the point ND was no longer sustaining drives, Purdue came all the way back, took the lead, and ND needed Clausen to save their ass on 4th down with 15 seconds left.
I simply asked why did Crist not get to throw at all? He basically did not get to throw for all intents and purposes. Im not attacking the kid.
I never thought you attacked the kid personally at all. Far from it. I took it as questioning Weis. But your first post didn't say what you said above. It said that the only drive that was effective under Crist was the first one, which is completely false.
Crist did get to throw, not nearly as much as Clausen, however they were short safe passes. I answered why; it's on the other thread I believe. There's a long list of why he didn't unleash Crist, all of which I completely agree with. But again, that's on the Crist thread that you started. And the time he did get to go down the field, he missed a WIDE OPEN Tate streaking down the sideline. Weis deserves credit for the perfect play call...
