Jimmy Clausen Question

Jacory Harris has led his team over victories over FSU (ranked at the time and just destroyed the #7 in the country) and #14 (for now) Georgia Tech. Max Hall led his team over Oklahoma--Bradford or no Bradford he was beating top notch athletes on that defense.

I could make arguments for every guy on the list I provided as well. The bottom line, again, is that this is subjective and not objective. JC has thrown all over the field against Hawai'i, Nevada, MSU and UM. Guys, I'm happy with what the offense is doing but lets not build the competition that Clausen is building his name on as being top notch because Nevada and Hawai'i are middling WAC teams, UM was 3-9 last year and MSU lost to Central Michigan last week. These aren't exactly juggernauts that he's tearing apart.

How many of these guys run a pro system?

Do me a favor and watch the games all over again and just watch where Clausens throws are. Ther are not 5 qb's in the country who can make the throws Clausen is making. He was money on one foot in the second half. Why can't some fans just appreciate what we have sometimes?

I watched part of a Miami game and Jacroy harris did not stand out to me. I'm not saying he isnt good, but Clausen has a zip on thje ball, and has been dead-on accurate all year. The type of playing that anyone watching has to take notice. I didnt get that with Jacory Harris, so he lead his team to a victory, thats great for him but does he have skills? Does he command the field like JC? Does he have that same zip on that ball that JC has? is he as accurate as JC?

I know its early in the season, but I have yet to see a QB this year with better skills than JC.

Tebow wont even play in the NFL, so stop using his name in this thread. Tebow has off the chart leadership skills, but has very little QB skills, and wont see the light of day behind center in the NFL. He has no zip, not nearly as accurate, and is looking to run the ball 50percent of the time. So please stop with the Tebow stuff.

Again, Jacory harris' skills didnt jump out at me and make me take notice...does he have that zip, accuracy, and knowledge of the offense that allows him to distribute the ball to as much as 5 different options on any given play?? .....I dont think so

Tebow's first test - not Charleston Southern or Troy - but a team that lost to UCLA - and if Superman wears Tebow pajamas - he got mustard on them. Wasn't impressed - No TD, fumble, did he throw an int? Did he cover the spread. He wins for being animate. And, he is surrounded by 1/2 of the next 4 years 1st and 2nd round picks.

Tebow is good at what he does.....but what JC does and what Tebow does is 2 different things. Tebow is successful, but not skillful.

Actually Bower doesnt even start for Tulsa so I would really like to hear this argument please. I mean he is a servicebale backup dont get me wrong, but I'm curious how you came up with your list of 20. We're you flipping through Phil Steele's preseason magazine and saw that Bower was a projected starter and just assumed he was putting up big numbers in their offense or what?
