I clicked on this thread expecting to find an update on Aldridge.

This quote from a Ft Wayne Journal Gazette article appears to be from Charlie's post game interview.

Watching the game yesterday I noticed Aldridge came down on his right elbow when it was extened at a 30 to 45 degree angle from his body. The elbow seemed to take a lot of the impact with the ground. It was apparent he injured his shoulder when he tried to get up and walk back to the huddle.

I didn't think much of it till I saw the replays of the OU QB going down.

I thought Aldridge looked good at FB carrying the ball and blocking. First time I felt that way since Powers-Neal. Hopefully it's just a bruise and nothing more.

Fullback James Aldridge injured his shoulder late in the game.
"When they came back and said he was gone for the day, I would have had him done for the day any way at that time," Weis said. "We will have to see where it goes. We have an alternative plan if he can't go for a week or two. He bruised his shoulder. I don't think it is going to be anything major."

I agree, I was impressed with how he played at fullback, and more impressed by his willingness to switch positions for the betterment of the team. (D. Jones, did you see that? Oh yea you are playing LB at Cincinnati, I forgot)

Truth be told James will probably get more carries at Fullback this year than he would if he stayed at RB. I hope the injury is not serious
