Clausen's Best Throw?

Everybody remembers the Michigan touchdown pass, but Clausen has made some truly incredible throws. His first touchdown against North Carolina was a beauty.

Yeah, and that Hawaii Bowl toss was incredible. Fit the ball between two defenders and the sideline, AND dropped the ball straight into Tate's hands.

Clausen to Grimes stanford 07 i think? grimes laid out and clearly caught the ball, the ref signaled touchdown but they reviewed and reversed it.

That was a horrible throw. A bad, bad overthrow saved by Grimes' non-catch.

but actually grimes did catch it. the throw was ridiculously accurate, he put it where only grimes could get it.

There was a good five yards of space where Clausen could have put that ball, space where the defender wouldn't have a shot at it. It was a bad overthrow.

Mick is right. The TD toss right before halftime in the Hawaii Bowl was his best.

it's a toss up for me between the td throw to tate (as noted above) or the one he threw to grimes against hawaii.

like i said its not his best throw but it wasnt a terrible overthrow either.

And that Grimes throw wasn't anything truly remarkable.

Other throws to consider:

1. The laser to Tate in the Hawaii Bowl, on the same drive as the Grimes touchdown.
2. Another laser to Floyd against Purdue, squeezed between a couple of defenders.
3. Most of Clausen's fades.
4. The first two of Clausen's touchdown throws against Air Force in 2007. The first, a beautiful loft to the back of the endzone. The second, a perfectly placed ball to Grimes to make 31-17.
5. Clausen to Grimes, Duke. Laser.

i will throw in a play that none of us want to remember.

last year against North Carolina, Clausen to Floyd and then the fumble/lateral followed. That was an absolute drill shot!

Clausen to Floyd against Stanford last year. ball had the right trajectory, hit floyd in stride for 6.

When Clausen has the time and blocking ALL of his throws are great. I did like the one to Tate against NC, to Tate against Hawaii, and even a couple weeks ago to Tate (I believe) at media day. If the Syracuse defender would not have blocked the pass to Rudolph, Rudolph would've ran for a TD.
