He has proven himself well. He has done a lot with little at Western. He has the size and the arm strength definitely. He was top ten in passing last year, low amount of INT's, high yardage and high TD's. Playing in the MAC doesn't get you a lot of respect. But he and LeFevour from Central deserve some respect. More respect than Jimmy C right now just because Clausen's INT's are so high right now. After a couple of games Jimmy C will deserve more respect most definitely.

He has done a lot with little. Definitely no Floyd or Tate. On the other hand did he get sacked 50 something times? Playing in the MAC doesn't get you a lot of attention because they play a low level of competition. Clausen for all his sins, has played against tougher competition and has most or all of the QBs ranked higher (larger number) in that list. I looked at the schedules and the NCAA rankings of defenses. Dillingham would have looked good against Tennessee Tech. They were the 105th pass defense. No, not out of the 120 Div 1 teams. TenTech was 105th out of 118 Div AA teams. Which makes they like the 220 ranked pass defense. USC was #1, BC was #7 and didn't Jimmy results in those games agree with those rankings.

Hiller faced one team Ball St ranked better than the Top 50. Clausen faced 6 who were all ranked better than Ball St.

I'll root for your alma mater against the Wolverweasels although I'd prefer them to fat and overconfident after they avenge their MAC loss to Toledo. I don't want Robinson re-tooling the D to fix the exposed holes. I'd rather Tate and Floyd found those holes all day long.

I want Western to win convincingly but with mostly rushing. West is a solid back that could do some damage against a weaker UM defense. Then the next week ND could expose UM all over the field.

Updated down to 64.

A word about Golden Tate who is number 64.
No. 64: Notre Dame WR Golden Tate

THE PARTICULARS: 5-11/195, Jr.; Hendersonville (Tenn.) Pope John Paul II

THE BUZZ: Tate showed off his big-play ability last season by collecting at least 120 receiving yards in four games. He closed the season by catching six passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns in a Hawaii Bowl victory over Hawaii. His career average of 18.9 yards per catch reflects his ability to score from just about anywhere on the field. He also is a starting outfielder for Notre Dame’s baseball team.

Where do you think Sam Young will be? Mid thirties?

Yeah I am thinking lower thirties, however, he has under achieved. He was supposed to be an absolute beast. I am hoping this year he becomes that absolute beast.

Number 52 was just put on there.

Updated through number 50 who is AJ Green. I think its a bit ridiculous that he is ranked 43 spots higher than Floyd.
