South Bend Tribune: Notre Dame football: He's talking a good game

After 8 years in the NFL Mike lives with his wife Lindsay and their 3 kids in Austin, TX. Lindsay and Mike own children's clothing store. Mike also has a 3 hour Radio Talkshow on KZNX-AM with Erin Hogan. It's not an ND show; it's a Longhorn show.

I took every day in the NFL as a privilege. When I stopped, I knew I had given everything. My last hit was enough for me. I was just tired of being hurt.

It was a privilege, but not necessarily the thrill he had experienced in South Bend.

"I'm still a big college football fan. I always was. When I was playing (in the NFL), I rarely watched a Sunday night (NFL) game or a Monday night (NFL) game, but on Saturday afternoon, I was glued to the TV.

Kids in college play with passion. They make mistakes. The kids are more into it. Everything in the NFL is so mechanical.

do any of you guys remember if Mike Rosenthal lived in Alumni? That was my hall, I should probably remember, and for some reason I'm thinking "yes" but I can't recall for sure.
