. . . by Scout.com.

most of you already know this, but this is not bad for only having 10 recruits to date.

it means it is very likely we will end up in the Top 10, at least as far as Scout.com is concerned, which is pretty good considering our last two seasons.

I say top 10 class. Just look at the guys Polian, Brown, and Ianello are recruiting that have not yet commited and are high on the Irish. Win games= Top 10 class.

The Superbowl may have hurt more than helped.

The Superbowl may have hurt more than helped.

The Superbowl year, when Weis could not recruit, obviously really hurt the first year. It also made it much more difficult to get good coaches.

Then Weis got way behind his first full year recruiting, not even arriving at Notre Dame until February, and having to sign the likes of Prince, Mullen, Gallop, Wade, West, et al, guys that he would never recruit today.

Hopefully in the long run we are now on the right path, but the Superbowl hurts us the first TWO years in Weis' recruiting, in my opinion, as well as in "recruiting" top coaches .

Top 10 again this year... maybe Top 5 if we kick some serious ass.

Top 10 yes

Top 5 I don't see the 5 or 6, 5 Star prospects in the hopper. Guys like Barr and McCay have move up into the 5 Star range (and commit to ND) for the Irish to have a shot. And you need Dyer. Also guys like Lombard have to move up to 4 Stars on Rivals.
