Nick Montana, according to his h.s. coach, has committed to Washington. Holy crap. Wow. Good luck to the young man, although I think it's a horrible choice. They are on a long road to recovery. Not saying that ND is the spot for him, but UW and the Sark? Wow. Perhaps he's thinking they'll be good by his junior year or something, but that damn team is bereft of talent...

Is this for real? Wow! If it is true I don't believe he will stay commited to them after they go 2-10.

I'll believe it when he announces it. Not one source (LA times) saying his coach told them. Who does that? Why would his coach say anything to anybody?

looks like both Rivals and scout are running with the story...i guess it's true after all. Just like Official Offers, i like to see 2 separate sources first.

Not Stanford! I wouldn't want him to play a team that Irish will play during his college tenure. Could you imagine the headlines and articles if he QB against ND and won the game?! Good Lord, that story would never die!!!

I guess he feels that Washington would be a good opportunity for him to see early playing time ... like possibly starting by his soph season!?i

Just trying to look at it as the best situation for him! Washington is a joke and will never be able to compete with UCLA, USC, Standford, etc.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt a story come out a few months ago saying he was leary of ND because we were too far from being a national title contender? Does he think Washington is closer than we are?

Best of luck to Nick. Washington is a proud program, but is in the rebuilding mode we were in three years ago. (Same culprit, so I can feel for them) A strong Washington will impact the Pac-10 standings. He'll get good coaching, a good education, has an opportunity to start after Locker leaves and will not compete with his brother. I'd like to see a Montana-Montana game in the future, though.

LMAO!! I got flamed by an opionated prick on here(not going to to mention his name) for mention that we should offer Pete Thomas. Well Nick commited to U-Dub what do you got to say for yourself now? Are going to tell me how Hendrix is way better than Thomas because all these coaches think so?

I had a feeling ND wasn't going to land Nick on the account that he didn't want to follow daddies and big brothers foot steps. He was going to blaze his own trail just like Manti Te'o did.

Im not saying i do not like Thomas, because i do and would love to see him get an offer. What is said is that there is a reason this kid has not gotten any offers. Notre Dame has evaluated his film and wtachedhim throw twice. There is some reason why they have not offered.

Good for him. I'm happy for him. He has a much better chance playing there than here anyway.
