All,

I am a 2-year season ticket holder. Do to my geographical location and cost ineffectiveness, I may have to give up my season tickets. I am reaching out to my IE community to see if anyone is interested in using my season ticket for the 2009 season. I would play future seasons on a year-to-year basis.

If you are not familiar with the season ticket process, I pay a 'Building Fund' fee per season ticket. I hold 3 tickets, so the total cost is just a smidge under 6 grand. Funds are due no later than May 1st, so if anyone is interested, PM me.

I hate to lose the tickets, but I just can't afford them this year.

Thanks y'all.

I am in section 14, between rows 40-50. We are in a Notre Dame section, but behind the visiting band.

I am interested, but could probably only make a couple games. I am looking for partners right now.

It's so expensive, when you can buy tickets to just about every game for 100 or less a ticket x3x7, I figure at max you pay 3500 for buying scalped tickets...

Sorry Aggie. I had no takers, so I am an EX- season ticket holder.

Have you considered the Washington State game in San Antonio? I believe tix go on sale to the general public soon...

Did you make all the home games before? I can't see how anyone living so far away could do so, and have a career!! That said, I hit a game or two a year, and I live about a mile from the stadium!!!

I did not. I actually won my right to purchase season tickets while living in a Chicago suburb, and then received a job transfer 2 weeks later. My dad and sister helped finance for 2 seasons since they lived in the midwest and could use the tix. My sis just moved to Houston and my dad will be retiring in the fall, so the investment did not make sense.

I have a connection in Chicago that can usually hook me up with tix. Have not been to a game since USC in 2007. Had plans to do an SDSU-Michigan vacation last year, but when the wife became preggers with our twin boys (born the Tuesday after the Michigan game), that trip had to be cancelled.

Going to Washington State in San Antonio this year, with a possibility of coming up to South Bend for USC. It is my goal to go to campus once a year, and I haven't seen them win in person since Quinn to Samardzija vs. UCLA in '06.

Have always said I will be in the stadium if we are playing for the 'chip, so perhaps I'll save my travel money for that annual delusion.

I was also at the Quinn to Samardzija vs. UCLA in '06, one of the best things I have ever seen.

Yeah, pretty darn close (football related) for me too. Just remember how pissed we were the entire game at how bad we were playing. I know there are threads floating around like this, but top 5 in-person moments for me...

1) FSU '93. The whole f'n experience. Member of the band. After morning step off, went to the post office to get my commemorative postmark (in all 3 colors) on University envelopes with Rockne stamps. Concert on the steps, march to the stadium. Spike Lee on the sidelines with the Creminoles. Got close enough to yell at him and ask why he always picks the losing team (more on that later in the list, he must really hate Notre Dame). On the sideline watching the last play of the game, knock that shit down!

2) BC '93. Not the finish, but the comeback. First game I ever left the viewing area in-game to get something to eat. Down 38-17 with 11 minutes left to take the lead. Pinning BC on the 10 on the last possession. Bullshit unsportsmanlike penalty. 15 yards. David Gordon. 15 years of frustration commence.

3) Michigan '93. Under the Tarnished Dome. Spike Lee on the sidelines with the Woverines (putz). 24-10 at half. Kevin freakin' McDougal.

4) UCLA '06. Told the UCLA fans in front of me that if they went play action on 3rd and 6 the game is over, so playing the HB dive. Quinn precision. Samardizija, Grimes, Samardzija. Touchdown Irish!!!!! Sack to polish things off. More relief than satisfaction, but elation ensued.

5) PSU '06. Just felt like this was the year. 41-3 before mop-up time. How things change 7 days later...

Lots of other fun moments along the way...Zellars beast run vs. Purdue in '94, Rossum KO return against PU in '96, Cotton Bowl in '94 (and ensuing game watch of Orange Bowl that night, only to be disgusted in the airport the next morning when the polls came out), '01 Nebraska kickoff returns by Getherall and Jones.

Can't wait to see a National Championship in person. Farewell kidney. ;)
