Never mind IA. He's already stated he's not interested. Which is fine; I'd rather him just come out and say instead of issuing some standard b.s. line that many other uninterested recruits say. ND is not for everyone. On to the next DT...

Methodical in who they offer as far as athletic ability and grades are concerned. But if you have an offer to risk why not try

i was under the assumption ND is very methodical about offers. They only offer if the recruit shows genuine interest in ND.

When the kid OR his coach was asked, "How would you like a scholarship to Notre Dame?" They may have automatically mouthed, "Sure!"

Frankly, I've never heard of a recruit refusing an offer - written or verbal. Lots don't put ND on their shortlist but they take the offer.

Perhaps being polite, perhaps simply padding a resume. It's newsworthy and gets Urban's attention among other. That begats more offers.

This afternoon Urban was probably stroking his chin wondering, "Maybe that Trattou line will work with this guy as well. Or maybe I can use the Omar gambit."

6/23 Kurelic reports on ESPN that Hailes has a Top 5 of PSU, VT, UTN, NCS, and LSU. He's visited VT and UTN and will trip to PSU Friday. Expect to make his decision within a couple of days after that visit.

Penn State grabs another one. They got a pretty impressive class so far
