Darius Walker to Denver

Former ND running back Darius Walker signed with the denver broncos on tuesday per the southbendtribune. Good pick up, he did beat out the current starting Green Bay RB (Grant) his freshman year in college when grant was a senior. There has got to be a point were he sees good PT in the NFL. Link below.

Seems to me I recall Walker gashing the hell out of Michigan as a freshman. (i could be wrong)
I think his freshman year was outstanding. Grant was ok but he had trouble hitting the hole with the speed that Walker had.

they did for one year... 04 I believe it was

They played together in 04. Grant was hurt early in the year, he missed the BYU game and then still wasn't 100% for the UM game when Walker rushed for over 100 yards. I'm not sure Walker would have beaten him out if he was healthy, but he was still a good back. As it was, they ended up sharing a lot of carries, but Walker had more yards.

BTW, Walker did keep his promise and come back and finish up his degree this semester. He will be graduating Sunday.

Yeah but he still leaves with a degree from Notre Dame. Unlike other D1 school walker will most likely have a succesul life outside of football so good for him. Thats why i love Notre Dame

its just too bad shannahan (sp?) isnt at denver anymore..... he had a knack of turning no name backs into big names in the NFL. Oh well, best of luck to Walker.
