MICH QB Sheridan Seriously Hurt

Michigan QB Nick Sheridan, the only returning QB from last year, appears to have suffered a significant leg injury, according to the Detroit Free Press. This is not good news for Mich and DickRod, considering Threat already transferred, and their freshman QB savior weighs about 170 and looks like he's only a strong gust away from being broken in two. Feel bad for the kid, but extremely happy for DickRod...

one correction: he is the only [returning] QB with any playing time. Cone was on the team last year, but did not get any playing time. Also, Cone reportedly hurt his arm or hand, so will not be able to throw.

so now they have early enrolee freshman Forcier and september enrolee freshman Denard Robinson as their QB depth. Feagin who is listed on some depth charts as a QB was already moved to WR.

Forcier at full health is smaller, and has a weaker arm than Jimmy did his freshman year (and his arm strength was painful to watch at times as a frosh). They still might make a bowl game because they play 8 freaking home games.

I have heard that despite his size Forcier is quite fast and accurate. Im going to be at the game in Ann arbor this year so I hope he sucks. Im 0-2 at home games so hopefully I can see the Irish win on the road.

Im taking a sign with me that says: I expected 100,000+ fans to be louder than this!

Go Irish!

I see Michigan as a no-excuse-must-win this season. The Recruit Miser General cannot afford to lose to Michigan.....not this year

Dead on. It's a must win. There would be no excuse for losing to them...except losing both Clausen and Crist.

Ive heard rumors that Michigan fans tend to treat Irish fans very bad at home games. Anybody know about that?

I've been to several games at the big house and I can't say I have been treated badly at all. Except of course some good natured ribbing.

I just hope they don't use this as an excuse when we beat their asses next year.

I attended the 38-0 beatdown sitting in the Mich student section wearing a green Irish jersey and didn't get in a fight. All i got was below average ribbing on my walk out at halftime. Along the lines with

"3? who the hell is number 3"?

and the so clever:

"have a fun trip back to South Bend!"

which I responded with:

"I dont even live there you dumbass"

Followed by silence.

So yeah, they are a bunch of wusses, only got pushed at a pre-game party on State street by some drunk student who then had all of his friends apologise. So Don't worry.

Hahaha No.1IrishFan that sign would make a lot of people angry so I really hope those letters are huge on your sign.

As for Forcier, I have seen him play live and his best asset is his feet. He's no Pat White, but he is pretty athletic. In terms of passing talent, not impressed whatsoever. He has a weak arm, a weird throwing style, and he is somewhat accurate. Keep this in mind too. Rich-rod didn't even offer this kid until his two original commits decommitted when they saw how bad Michigan was. Kevin Newsome left for Penn St. and Shavodrick Beaver to Tulsa. His brother can't even crack the two-deep at UCLA so maybe college QB is a position this family should give up on. We should destroy Michigan by 24 this season, and I can't wait.

Forcier can run. That's all RichRod cares about. Passing is only a nuisance when they can't get enough yardage on first and second down. Brian Smith is going to break him like a twig.

And by the way, we're going to bend Michigan over and shove a giant, barbed-wire bound pole up their ass this year. All my friends are Michigan fans...Oh, it's going to be fun. Michigan is going to be AWFUL next year...improved, but awful.

Much like his Basketball counterpart at Michigan, RichRod is looking for a specific athlete who doesn't need to be a highly regarded recruit. Both of these guys are going to have monster success at Michigan, because its a giant leap up from WVU.

Michigan plays better competition. Forcier cannot carry the Michigan football program on his back.

not much on the injury in that report... hopefully its not something serious. as much as i cant stand michigan id hate to see the kid badly injured. then again its march so he should have plenty of time if its not a major reconstructive situation.

Dont get too excited. He's only going to be out 4-6 weeks. He's expected to start fall camp.

NDOM,

That is by far, the funniest avatar I have seen in quite sometime!

Looking forward to a beat-down in Ann Arbor!

If the line blocks, we'll win. That's been the deciding factor in every Notre Dame-Michigan game in the Charlie Weis era. In 2005 and 2008, we blocked well, Quinn and Clausen had time to throw and the offense was moving. In 2006 and 2007...Quinn and Clausen each had the worst days of their lives.

So, as long as the line blocks, we'll win, because we don't have Wooden or Lambert to get torched by overrated Michigan receivers.

I always thought Manningham and Breaston were pretty good college receivers. I dont recall any others.

If you knew any Michigan fans face-to-face, you'd understand. Michigan fans believe Manningham is the second coming of Randy Moss.

I would not say that at all. I do think he had a decent career and absolutely torched the Irish one year. I just remembered I hate that guy and his team. I have lost it.
